The new Republican candidate

Post by Fuzzy Dunlop »

Guys like Gabriel Gomez are conservatives' only hope. Son of Colombian immigrants, became successful PE businessman, young, energetic, fiscally conservative, socially liberal. He's running for John Kerry's senate seat. We already lost up one of the most bipartisan down to earth, non-crazy Republicans when Scott Brown lost to that fucking wacko lefty: Chief Elizabeth Warren. Massachusetts needs to embrace diversity and vote this dude in. I don't give a flying shit if he has no experience.

Left already attacking him for taking tax deductions because he's rich. They're going after him the same way they did Romney. It's despicable.

Oh and one last thing... He's the PE money behind lululemon. You're welcome!

Republicans need to bench the private equity guys for a while. Über-rich guys who pay low taxes give the opposition too big a club. Being a brown PE guy is not a pass.

Especially when you've engaged in what the IRS called "tax schemes." This guy is done.

For a while there, it looked as if Gabriel Gomez might be the next Scott Brown.
Today, he’s looking more like another Massachusetts Republican: Mitt Romney.
The special Senate election candidate continues to struggle underneath accusations that he went too far in taking advantage of a tax break for his historical residence. According to a Boston Globe report, Gomez took a $281,500 deduction in 2005 for pledging not to make changes to the exterior of his $2.1 million home.
As the Globe also notes, though, Gomez was already prohibited by the local historical commission from making such changes. And soon after Gomez took the deduction (just five weeks, in fact) the Internal Revenue Service included such an arrangement among its “Dirty Dozen tax scams.”

One of the downsides of the Internet is that it allows like-minded people to form communities, and sometimes those communities are stupid.

Like I said... liberals attacking him for taking tax deductions. Why is being smart about the amount of taxes you pay looked upon so unfavorably? He didn't do anything wrong did he? If you don't want people taking those deductions DON'T ALLOW THOSE DEDUCTIONS!

After a few more years of your towns favourite commie faggot, people won't be so quick to begrudge success and brains.

Lot's of people are starting to feel like they were suckered and realising people they thought were just racist were fucking right about that cunt.

And now that Benghazigate is starting to get the traction it deserves as the scandle that will make Watergate look like Dick was just covering for some poker buddies, the declarations of "Their Party is dead" will be said about the DNC.

Ebb and Flow, Crooks and Whores, Boats and Hoes!

They don't. I don't know if you're just reading the right wing news on this. Here's what the IRS said in their report covering what Gomez allegedly did:

Involvement with tax schemes can lead to imprisonment and fines. The IRS routinely pursues and shuts down promoters of these scams. But taxpayers should also remember that anyone pulled into these schemes can face repayment of taxes plus interest and penalties.

D, nobody begrudges success or brains, except maybe Russians. If he built a company, that would be one thing. This ain't that.

As long as he did not sell crack, actually steal like Maddof or suck Obama off while Moochelle shoves her she-male cock up his ass people need to not worry where he got his money.

LOL! at people doing that, while they'd go for their's if they had the brains, balls and knew how to jump on or make their own luck.

Libs like Jon Corzine. There is a fucking crook.

The IRS didn't challenge his easement deduction 8 years running, what's the fucking problem? This is a minor issue that the democrats in Mass are using to avoid talking about the actual issues.

Want to talk about the issues or just look to sling mud?

Not a scheme when the tax code is written to allow it. The IRS knows that.
