From Russia With Tough Love

Post by Shafpocalypse Now »

Holy smokes. An friend loaned this to me last weekend, and just told me to watch it.

It's screamingly funny, and a whip and a collar away from being BDSM.

The drills aren't bad, nor is the instruction, but I cannot see how Pavel kept a straight face throughout the filming. He deliberately affects an accent and a bit of broken english for what can only be, comedic effect.

"These women would be much stronger than their husbands, if they, too, had not trained with russian kettlebells."

"I feel their pain, but they must be punished for transgressions."

"Do this until I get tired."

"Five pushups, comrade DC. Five more because you did the first five wrong."

I thought the book version was actually far more useful than "RKC" or even "ETK" as a first year/second year introduction to kettlebells as a general fitness and conditioning tools. The training schedules, selection of exercises, and instruction were far better than Pavel's first book, and far more appealing than RKC.

I have to agree about the video.

I agree. I recommended the book (and video, for that matter) to both male and female clients when I used to teach back in the day. MUCH clearer than RKC.
The flesh is weak, and the smell of pussy is strong like a muthafucka.
