The Wave by Susan Casey

Post by Bram »

Great book. About giant waves -- surfers who ride them, ocean goers who have to deal with them and the scientists and researchers who try to predict and deal with them. The book is mostly (two thirds perhaps) surfing related, which was fine with me as I go surfing and find it interesting.

She also wrote the Devil's Teeth which bored me immensely and I slogged through only 40 pages or so.

Highly recommended

Yea, I slogged through that one, the suckitude of which kept me from reading The Wave in spite of my interest in the topic. I'll give it a deep scan at the B&N this week.
Don’t believe everything you think.
