Video on main page at Reebok "sports liscensing division". 700,000 sq/ft that is "servicing the partnership w/ @fit". They will be "handling the affiliate gear program". The word is that nothing is being enforced and it will be offered as a means to help the affiliates with shirts ect. but with the $$$ Reebok puts into this I can't imagine them letting thousands of affiliate shirts be printed and sold with them getting nothing. In the video they also said that the ONLY thing an athlete can wear at the gaymes is what is in the box...shirts and board shorts I can see...but headgear, socks, shimmles (arm sleeves) and compresion gear will all be provided and will be the ONLY thing the "athletes" can wear !!!!!!!

Turning affiliates into franchises
Standardizing the training so that the mainpage WAD is what people will be guaranteed to get at any @F they go to
Taking over all the merchandising
Raising the stake/$$ to buy-in and the quality of operation of their new franchises
Adding required R@@bok-supplied gear to the WAD Rx
I can still imagine the corporate meeting between @F and R@@bok on the WAD programming:
"So, what's the basis of how you program the WAD?"
"Well, we pretty much just do random stuff for random rep ranges. There is no formula."
"So, technically anyone could program it?"
"Well..."

That ties into what I've heard, that after the Games the 'Bok is going to be taking a hard look at the salaries at HQ and start asking, Office Space-like "What DO you do here?"

at some point reebok has to do the risk assessment regarding potential costs of lawsuits based on injuries resulting from doing workouts? the consequence of that assessment will be to eliminate the dumbfuck from programming. which means the end of x-fit as we know it.

Subtle dig or IGX infection? He is a good coach at what he couches.
I think the Reebok take over could be the super nova of CF before it turns into a bland, corporate excersize program (PX90 with weights). You will have a mass exodus of CF faithful as their tatted up, pink haired hardcore training program trades her suggestive booty shorts for a clinton pant suit. Hell, even Barry may be stirred enough to turn his verbose tirades against the teat he has sucked for so long. You'll have the good CF gyms with decent programing and non dumbass coaches either split off or form their own community.

When one admits they squat incorrectly and travel to a coach who specializes in raw beginners, that would equal "learn." You are being a troll and a shitty, uninteresting one at that. Run your newbie ass on back to Rips board and suck his nuts like a good little submariner.

The point is that you're a noob riptard forum reject coming on here whiteknighting for him and insulting long standing members. That's great that rip was probably your first lifting guru but no one gives a fuckThe Crawdaddy wrote:I think he pretty much said Gillian went there to learn to squat from Rippetoe. As for my opinion of Rip's experience level, he's got quite a bit imo. He also has some decent weight-lifting connections in Bill Starr and Tommy Suggs. If that makes me a fan, so be it. Do I think he's great or anything. No personal experience by which to judge, which is probably more honest than dickhead's comment.

Re: The couch thread
This depends on what the franchisor wants and how the documents are written. We belong two separate franchises, neither of which require standardized training, we are giving training systems, but are allowed to use or add what whatever we want. The advantage is having the "business systems in a box" which sets you up for success, if you put them in place. By not providing the business systems @fit is avoiding the 'franchise' tag. They also dont require royalties on top of the lic fee and the filing of monthly sales reports and yearly audits by the states they are in.WildGorillaMan wrote:dead man walking wrote:if an affiliate cannot improvise, does that make it a franchise?CultBuster wrote: On a front that will be more fun to watch, I got word from a so/so source that Reebok will be taking over ALL @fit merchandise for everyone and anything with @fit printed on it will come from them in the next year...no more affiliate's printing their own shirts. reebok is going to take that off their hands so they can focus on coaching!

I would be easy for them to convert affiliates to franchises, once/if they get approval in each individual state by simply saying they are now going with that model, here's what it cost to buy in. they could then provide the biz systems, national marketing and a list of preferred/approved vendors for things lie equipt and POS sales systems. At the same time they could easily hang some affiliates out to dry if they are in states that are tougher to get approval in, like Cali, Illinois, Wi, and MN

There is a reason why noobs flock to Rip like moths to a light, people who actually squat REAL weight look at his "hip drive" with laughter....
