The Last Open Road

Decent book written by an old racer/journalist who's been in the vintage car game forever. I've always been drawn to the 50's and 60's sports car racing since my dad brought a Triumph home with him from England after he got out of the Air Force.

I read it when it first came out and recently re-read it. If you don't know the "scene" of the early days of road racing sports cars after WWII you'll still enjoy the book. But if you like the era it's even better as it's a good insight into the beginnings of racing in America with the fictional story woven around the actual people and races that made those times so good.

He has 4 sequels, and I've read one of them. I'll finish up re-reading the first sequel (which I have) and then get the rest of the series.

I don't have a lot of experience with vampires, but I have hunted werewolves. I shot one once, but by the time I got to it, it had turned back into my neighbor's dog.
