That walk through Africa was a fund raiser for the Makindu Children's Center, a facility that finds housing for AIDs orphans, feeds them and sees to their education. I have been associated with it since 2004. I can tell you that the $$$ goes to the kids. It is an African charity that works. Pls consider a donation. Even a little bit helps.

Just ignore the suggested minimums if you want to send less.

Thanks Cleaner. I assure you, it's not a scam. I've been there twice, seen it work and personally know the director and the (American) chairman of the board. Honest dedicated people actually doing good work.

Do they have a vegan version of the meal plan if I would prefer the kids that I support not to drink milk? Also, what's in the curriculum that they are being taught? If it's creationism and no science then I will chip in a few bucks though if things support the vast left-wing conspiracy to destroy the Bible and get a few black votes, perhaps not.
