Moka pots
Does anyone make coffee in one of these? What are your opinions on them? From what I have read it is the best way to make espresso if your not willing to spend gobs of money on a real espresso machine.

Re: Moka pots
A couple of the guys I work with swear by them. I've tasted it and IMO I like the French press better. YMMV.

Re: Moka pots
A greca needs to be broken in-- once it's stained by coffee, the coffee you make will taste better. They should only be used with coffee ground for espresso.
Greca v. french press is really a matter of personal preference. I prefer my french press in the morning when I need coffee (easier and needs less watching), but prefer the greca for camping. If you really like espresso-- go with the greca. If you prefer strong coffee-- go with the french press. If you prefer flavored creamer in your coffee-- you have more serious issues.

Re: Moka pots
Harder to clean than a French press? I wouldn't think that possible

Re: Moka pots
I love my Moka pot but I only use it to make americano. I dump the espresso in my 24 ounce thermos then add boiling water.
I much rather use my Clever pour over.
