Useful science

Post by Turdacious »

According to a new French study, women have reasons to burn their bras that have nothing to do with glass ceilings or women’s liberation.

Results from a 15-year study published Wednesday conclude that bras are a “false necessity” that provide no benefits to breasts, The Local reported.

“Medically, physiologically, anatomically — breasts gain no benefit from being denied gravity,” said the study’s author, University of Besancon Prof. Jean-Denis Rouillon. “On the contrary, they get saggier with a bra.”

That appears to be due to less muscle development in women who wear bras. The study found women it tracked who went braless had better muscle tone and higher lift than their bra-wearing counterparts.

Women could be putting their health at risk by wearing bras, researchers have warned. A study by two British surgeons found they are more likely to suffer regular breast pain, which has been linked to breast cancer.

Clearly written by some small-tittied woman. Bras are necessary because of physics. If I turn around too fast without one I might knock myself over.

Fuck that! I check my wife's titties every morning. If there was some thing wrong I would know it. And yes I have been drinking ALoT!

I think this is bunk. French women are known to wear bras to bed to keep things perky for the long haul. And I'm sorry, but even small-breasted women find going without support rather uncomfortable. Imagine accidentally lying down on your own nipple.

I think the vast majority of National Geographic pictures of tribal women pretty much contradicts this guy's findings. After breastfeeding three children, a good supportive bra (worn around the clock) is what saved me from a similar fate.

Someone should conduct a study to find out why so many scientists do studies that prove things nobody cares about.

Bras are social convention. They aren't designed for, or worn, for health reasons, other than maybe discomfort.

Science = dumb.

Nobody cares about back pain or breast cancer? News to me.

A little squeeze may be all that it takes to prevent malignant breast cells triggering cancer, research has shown.

Laboratory experiments showed that applying physical pressure to the cells guided them back to a normal growth pattern.

I actually ate about 4-5 blueberries yesterday with good results.

I'm going to up 8-10 today.
