My old dog LOVES him some snow

Post by Alfred_E._Neuman »

Rare snow day in Atlanta. Total fucking shit storm on the roads. Took me over 2 hours to get 9 miles home on the surface streets. Interstates were a parking lot. One of our guys had to sleep in his car last night.

On the plus side, my old GSD is like a little kid when it snows:

I don't have a lot of experience with vampires, but I have hunted werewolves. I shot one once, but by the time I got to it, it had turned back into my neighbor's dog.

You should have hit me up. I've got a well stocked liquor cabinet that's always open to IGx'ers.

I don't understand how the traffic could be that bad that people were on the road for over 24 hours. Especially with 3 inches of snow... your car will still drive just fine in that.

I believe it was a wintery mix of sleet and snow. Highways were like a skating rink. Combine that with everyone trying to get home, commute back out of the city, travelers coming along I-20, schools letting out, and it all happening at once.

Oh, and the hayseeds at the state government level, and the coons who run Atlanta completely missing the boat and failing to prep roads or warn people to get home early.

It was a bit of a perfect storm. Mother Nature combined with good old boys and dumb niggers to create a Snopocalypse that won't be soon forgotten. I can't wait to get the fuck out of this hotel room.

If only there was a TV channel that was nothing but weather and hyped up snowstorms and gave people days and days of warning so they could make their own intelligent decisions on whether to go out or not.

Some are saying that the weather folks stated that it would hit further south and not as badly. Dunno about that but working in public safety yesterday and today makes me regret going off Xanax.

Especially since said channel is based in suburban Atlanta....

And CNN won't let this one go b/c they're also in Atlanta.

But Dunn's right, it's partially b/c it was forecast to slide a bit further south than it did. Lots of tales on FB of Atlanta friends having 13 hour commutes, just not being able to make it home and even one spending the night at the office.

Not right now. It's been super stressful there for a while and I'm just too fried to want to ad an 40 minutes of riding on both ends of the day.

Just lifting and a little cardio when I can right now.

Thanks Johno. Samson will be 11 in the spring. He still runs with me a bit and his hips are in great shape. A good GSD is all in the breeding.
