Moto-X phone

Post by nafod »

Got it for free when I did the Verizon 2 year plan thing, replacing my Droid Bionic. I got it because I believed that:

- The battery would be good enough
- I heard good things about the "OK Google Now" capabilities
- The assistant function that makes it easier when driving
- Good enough. I didn't need super awesome wizbang. I feel about phones like Pete Townsend feels about guitars.

So far I'm digging it. It recognizes my voice and does simple stuff for me, like Siri on my iPad. Easy to dial. With a PIN screen lock you can speak your pin or type it if you are worried about someone hearing. I am trying out face unlock too, so far it works. I am going to train it for when I am mountain biking, with glasses and helmet.

With the moto connect, easy to disable it or wipe it remotely.

It can detect you are driving and go into an alternate mode where it speaks your texts and is more hands off, which is slick and it works.

Again, good enough with some useful tailored features other android phones don't have.
