TheWirecutter (website, not tool) Product Reviews

Post by Grandpa's Spells »

Great website, sister site of TheSweetHome. Pretty deep reviews of products by panels of experts. Wondering what gas grill to get? They'll tell you which $400 one to get and why to not spend more.

Same with cameras, winter boots, whatever. In many cases, the most expensive item is not the right move, and when it is, they explain why. This has cut my research down on several purchases by a ton.

One of the downsides of the Internet is that it allows like-minded people to form communities, and sometimes those communities are stupid.

Brian Lam's site. He used to be the main guy at Engadget or some similar tech/gadget site, iirc.

Now, he's the proprietor of the top review site on the web and surfs a lot.
