Glad you're OK. I don't envy you the rib injury along with coughing. Brutal.
One of the downsides of the Internet is that it allows like-minded people to form communities, and sometimes those communities are stupid.

Wow, incredible story. Glad you are still around. So what kind of scotch do you buy your mates that saved your life?

For someone in a state of panic during the alleged event, you sure remember the details quite well. Sorry pal but I'm calling it all bullshit.
Obama's narcissism and arrogance is only superseded by his naivete and stupidity.

So, as you once told your mom, you are indestructible :yawinkle:

(I think you wrote that once. It's been 22 years. Maybe it was someone else.)

Glad you are still with us.

First the UVA gang-rape story and now this.

Let's try to get Signaid and Batts to get into it in this thread.

At least you died doing what you love.
But when I stand in front of the mirror and really look, I wonder: What the fuck happened here? Jesus Christ. What a beating!

Your heart didn't stop. CPR doesn't restart the heart.

It can restart tne heart in rare circumstances. I feel it did with me. I was obviously unconscious when they took my pulse, but the guy who did that was a registered nurse currently working in the field. Guy who did the compressions was an wilderness EMT. Still, it is possible my heart didn't entirely stop and that they missed this in the chaotic field situation.

Do you think your homosexuality contributed negatively or positively to this situation?

I suffer la petite mort every time I look at Mickey's sigs.

Had to go through Navy water survival training back in September for what should be the last time ever. Way too much time underwater, upside-down, with blackout goggles on. My big discovery was that it gets harder as you get older. :yawinkle:

You did well, my friend.

do you think this will increase your book sales? I think there will be an uptick. Not the same amount if you totally kicked the bucket but an uptick none the less.

It's a cheap stunt to prop up dismal sales.

SONY hacked by commie North Korea while Tim is allegedly "dead" along the Colorado River. Tiimmy is "resurrected" and Obama suddenly opens relations with commie Cuba.

Coincidence?

Thinking people say no way.

Timmy is clearly the anti-christ. Or maybe Santa. Or both.

In the back of my mind I was wondering what impact the fact that you weren't appropriately dressed for immersion had on all this. Long time in water, high exertion, not able to generate heat afterwards, rapid cooling.

Just watched a neat episode on PBS Nova about the science of cold, and they talked about and had on the show a number of people who survived cardiac arrest, including a woman who was clinically dead for three hours with a core temp of 57 degrees. Warmed her up, and she walked out of the hospital the next day.

I bet the cold had a play in this.
