Jungle Book

Very excellent! Little scary for little guys and gals, and I may have spilled some popcorn at a tense moment. Oscar winner for something next year.

I was begrudgingly drug out of the house on Saturday by the family to go see this. Was pleasantly surprised. Quite excellent. The movie seemed to fly by in spite of its fairly long running time. I must have watched the old animated version two dozen times when my kids were younger (Disney was on perpetual repeat). It's my least favorite animated Disney movie of all time, and this was SO much better.

I thought it was good. Not spectacular, but good.

I did like how it stuck closer to Kipling, yet paid homage to the animated Disney flick we all know and love.
