Total marketing gimmick resulting in double-price snack foods, but very good for people who have a tendency to eat the entire bag of chips, box of cookies, whatever. My gf's sister has lost about 20lbs since switching to them instead of trying to "portion." I enjoy them as a way to get a taste of something good without going overboard.

I think the 8 oz. cans of pop are a good idea, for the same reason.
One of the downsides of the Internet is that it allows like-minded people to form communities, and sometimes those communities are stupid.

Agreed and what's funny is that they've had those little cans in Europe forever, FWIU.

Virtually all portions are smaller in Europe.

They have smaller everything. We are bigger, therefore better.
Think of it,...two French guys with a small cup of coffee, or two Texans with a couple of big steaks.

Actually, my perception is that it has to do with American insistence on value for your money.
