Forget how I stumbled onto it, but it got rave reviews back in 2010 when it came out yet I don’t recall hearing about it. Bought it off iTunes on a whim. A concept album supposedly, 70 minutes of music, some songs sequence together so it sneaks up on you the song changed.
Holy shit it’s a *great* album. She’s all over the place in her styles, I can see where not fitting neatly into niche would hurt sales. But the album flows.
I just thought she was an actress from the Hidden Figures movie.
