Greatest movie car chases

Post by seeahill »

BC Bogatir's post in Soundtracks brings this up.

The 20 minute chase at the end of the Road Warrior is my pick for best.

Here it is, in two parts, for those with a lot of time in their day:

Yep.

Haven't seen it but I've heard the remake of The Italian Job was pretty good.

Anybody remember Freebie and The Bean? James Caan and Alan Arkin as two knucklehead cops? Obscure but great. Great car chase.

Y'know it's no Road Warrior, but Deathrace has some solid action.

The opening chase from Mad Max was incredible.

I also liked the one in The Seven Ups with Roy Schieder. (Same team that did Bullet.)

The chase seen in Ronin wasn't bad.

Not only the car chase scenes, but in general Transporter IIwas pretty fucking entertaining. I just watched that movie for the first time, last week. Good stuff.

Jumped the shark repeatedly. Not as bad as "Crank," but then almost nothing is.
