On Netflix. Be careful, you might not be able to stop watching.

Movie or series? I can't get hooked on another series.
The best lack all conviction, while the worst
Are full of passionate intensity.

I know, right? Especially that contralto-voiced drama queen lead prosecutor. By episode 5 he'll make you just plain nauseous.

Yeah, been reading about the counterpoints to this...there was evidence that pointed to that guy convincingly enough

Maybe I'm watching a different show. Avery's guilt or innocence isn't the point. The interrogations of that young kid Brendan were sickening

I'm going to try to avoid this show since my hate meter has been pegging lately, but the mention of Manitowoc makes that hard to do. I've spent a lot of time there. It's pretty much a nothing blue collar town that the global economy has beaten badly. Yet, they work hard to keep the lawns mowed and the houses painted. Very old school Progressive prairie and union Democrat kind of small city in the heart of whitelandia with Packers flags almost as abundant as American flags. It's full of Lutheran & Roman Catholic churches along with more small neighborhood bars than you can imagine.

If you'd have asked me for a small city that probably has a fair judicial system, Manitowoc would have been high on my list. If there's a corrupt judicial system there, it's very depressing because that would be the exact opposite of how it presents itself. Inept, on the other hand, wouldn't surprise me.

All of these First 48 For Liberals things (Serial, etc.) keep running up against a more interesting story about basic corruption of the criminal justice system than the whodunnit they're trying to tell.
The subjects in question are guilty as fuck but the cops and DAs still have to cheat and do fucked up shit because that's the only way they know how to behave.
