Great farmhouse
Picked up two other North Coast beers as well the Thelonius and Pranqster, will report back soon. Also grabbed a Jolly Pumpkin golden ale.

I had Storm King tonight. I thought it was excellent but Ten Fidy is better.Fuzzy Dunlop wrote:We don't get new belgium here, unfortunately. It's a really good imperial stout. But it hides the alcohol content and is so smooth that its easy to get hammered in a hurry. So go really slow even though it drinks really easy.
I actually think that Dale's is the best beer they make, even though their high end stuff gets the highest ratings. I'm flabbergasted that their expensive beers all get "exceptional" or "world class" ratings while Dale's gets "good". Dale's is just great, although if you like it, I'd try New Belgium's "Shift", which is also very, very good.
Dale's might be one of the best beers in the US.

I haven't had a SK in a while but have had several of the Ten Fidy 4 packs and they are most awesome.davidc wrote:I had Storm King tonight. A few good ones I've had the last month or so:

Green Flash is pretty bitter but its not bad. I know its ratings are off the charts but I think its a little too bitter to be a favorite (and I love IPAs, so I'm used to bitter).

Westbrook doesn't rate quite as high but I think it is superior to Green Flash. Its more like Stone's IPA, in that in balances the citrus with the bitter almost perfectly.

This is an excellent beer. I think its at least as good as their 90 minute Imperial IPA. It's just wonderful.

I used to turn my nose up at this accessible pale ale. But I went to a couple restaurants that had a limited craft beer selection, and 420 was the best they had. And just giving it a couple more chances it really grew on me. Its really an excellent session ale that's especially good on warm days.

Delicious. A nice refreshing mild blonde with a hint of sweetness from the agave. Definitely a nice recovery ale after training.

Cold Smoke Scotch Ale...
Creamy, smooth, slight coffee taste, a touch sweet but not cloying. Been around for 15 years but I just tried it for the first time last night. Best new beer I've tasted in a year. My taste is for Trappist Style ales, but this is just as good, in a different way.
Small Montana brewery so it probably isn't available in your area.
Suffer.
