Good job, Crusty.

While they aren't cheering with excitement, all but that one girl seem to be watching with some level of attention. It's pretty creepy, really, that you could get so many people to watch something so bland. Even television doesn't get that bad at its worst.MikeVQ wrote:That chick sitting on the floor with the red bag in front of her looks bored shitless at this feat of strength/power/endurance.WildGorillaMan wrote:http://www.crossfit.com/cf-affiliates/brisbane_b.jpg
The lifter looks pretty pleased with himself, with that smug grin on his face. From the looks of it, that's his second attempt, assuming his opener was a ~20kg lift using the stained plywood training plates laying off to the side.
Steiner doesn't have jack on CrossFitters. They're elite and he's just another lousy specialist.
Re: The couch thread
MMR is proooobably a good idea, not a big deal either way for most as long as there's still herd immunity, but in a few cases is bigtime important (if you're knocked up and get mumps in your first trimester, you got a 1 in 4 chance of miscarrying! good job.). But it doesn't have thimerosal so isn't relevant on that point anyway. It almost certainly doesn't cause autism.sanchezero wrote:are you guys talkin' flu vaccines or stuff like measels/mumps/rubella etc that kids in skool get?
i'm also not a flu vacc kinda guy, but some of the stuff kids are susceptible to seems kinda gnarly.
I did a huge fucking research project on this for the sake of a mindless forum argument. A week later I woke up in a puddle of my own vomit reexamining my life. The internet is for porn not talk.

Thank you, Crusty. You have finally found some women (at least one of em in that pic) that I wouldn't do. That crazy vascular chick was no-go, also.Crust Bucket wrote:

The "women" on the last page were horrible. These, not so much, although I still disapprove of Chix With Brix.

Perfect example of dumbshits. Arrogant skank showing a group of people as stupid as she is how to do a proper clean and her kness are all fucked up and her heels lifted off the floor. It's a fucking ball, how bad is it with a bar?

I've never seen anyone need spotters for jerks before. What a fuckin' travesty.

Uh.... I know it's not that much weight, but if she loses that to the front, someone's going to the ER with a skull fracture.WildGorillaMan wrote:I've never seen anyone need spotters for jerks before. What a fuckin' travesty.

If they all are able to learn from it I guess it would be a good thing.

It's actually worse than I thought:
But I fail to see how this makes it any less of a travesty. Some FuckKnuckles wrote:Looks like a team WOD where the bar isn't allowed to touch the floor...

That's what I was going to say. Two people switching out under the bar while two teammates hold the ends. Looks like thrusters!

I agree with #1. Looks like a good transition too, NASCAR style.

What jackasses. I love how they're all spaced so closely together in 1 row, so if someone loses it to the front the rest will topple like a bunch of dominoes.GoDogGo! wrote:Uh.... And does that Tshirt really say "I love burpees"? That's like advertising to the world, "Yes, I'm really this dull and uninteresting."

Re: The couch thread
See how long this is up. I put it in the starting thread. The time has come to end this.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Crossfit. It conjures up many images for me , none of them good. After my experiment with this workout and community I have come to realize its not for me. I am neither bigger, faster or stronger than when I started. I know I will come back with proper programing and heavy weights though.
These moronic things you call workouts seem to be designed by an idiot. Granted there are affiliates doing thier own thing and some are good, some arent.
This community and board seem to be filled with bored housewives and desk jockeys. The insane drivel that gets posted here is nauseating. The injury section alone is reason enough to avoid crossfit. The Koolaid cult will survive for a while longer, while I will go my way and train properly and continue to progress safely

No worries, man. I get that every year during the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show... It's gonna be alright. Just keep whackin at it and you'll get some tough hands. Let me know if you need some technique training.

Way to be man. Just keep jerkin and pullin until those hands are like sandpaper... actually, that doesn't sound very comfortable.
