Does that says "lbs" or "kgs"?

Fuck, you're right. Losing my grip. Too many bananas. At least the reds were 55lbs.

This is the 1st annual CrossFit Endurance Series! The CFE series offer a challenging 5k 10K, 20k and team race. This race is 100% on looped trail run with hills and more hills. Along the course there will be ample aid stations.
5k $60
10k $80
20k $100
Team $500; CFE Members $335

Some thoughts on this:
1. $60 for a 5k is hilarity.
2. I'm sick of seeing BMack's bare chest every time I open something with CFE on it.
3. I hope an actual competitive runner wins this.
4. Shucks, if only I were a CFE member I would save $165 for my whole team.
5. Please tell me the aid stations are for the 20k only. Please.
Agree on all counts. Any aid on the 5K course can be covered by the 10K route.

Looking at the map, the 5Kers jump off a cliff halfway into the race, presumably to give them a good excuse for DNF.

Sorry, but who the hell says "My goal is to finish" about a 5K?

$60 for a 5k?! And you have to buy a t-shirt if you want one?! I guess I'll sit this one out.

And I'm no runner, but having a 5k in an 'endurance challenge' is an embarassing.

Notice how there is no actual elevation gain or loss numbers, just a pic of what the elevation profile looks like. I can easily make an elevation profile look like it's climbing only 500 feet for a whole 5k versus climbing 3000 feet for the same distance. This is as bad as when douches stick ten of those white 10 lbs bumper plates on a barbell to make it LOOK like they're lifting a ton of shit.

They're running it at Caspers Wilderness Park in South OC (San Juan Capistrano). Should start at about 300ft.; the 5k may go to about 1,000 ft. Not sure about the longer routes.

Hell, the trail I regularly hike goes from 100ft to 1,100ft in no time. They could do much better using Holy Jim up to Saddleback: 6,000ft and 16 mi round trip.

Sure, BMac. A quick Google came up with these negatives:
http://www.examiner.com/x-19794-Boston- ... riathletes
When is Crossfit wrong for triathletes?

Crossfit involves a number of complex movements under load, putting the weak areas at risk for injury, especially if an athlete's form is off. Triathletes who do not have an extensive weight-lifting background should not begin a Crossfit training program on their own without a personal trainer, physiotherapist, or certified Crossfit trainer to supervise their form.

Triathletes interested in beginning Crossfit training should also undergo a basic strength adaptation program comprised of controlled movements to get past the initial high-soreness, high-injury-risk phase of any strength training program before beginning a Crossfit program. Since integrating strength training into your program is likely to affect the quality of your aerobic workouts, athletes should avoid beginning a Crossfit program mid-season.

Nice - 1% patch, military stripes and just a hint of Affliction douchebaggery as a topper.

I'd be more inclined to shop with Rogue on the regular if they got away from the tactical cocksucking.

Be sure to check their credentials. They should be able to show you their cheaply printed paper certificate printed off of a home computer the night before the weekend seminar ended. This is how you know they're qualified.

How about your Quad Dipsea race in 2009? Or your recent run in Death Valley. Oh wait? The Death Valley run doesn't count since you weren't actually competing against others.

Oh yeah, almost forgot about those. And the DNF at H.U.R.T. in 2008 IIRC.

The "..." indicates he had more to say, but DNF'd.
One of the downsides of the Internet is that it allows like-minded people to form communities, and sometimes those communities are stupid.

So now @Fers are wearing three chevrons and a 1% patch. It'd be a damn shame if the Hell's Angels rode by LA @F and saw that bullshit.
