You're so good. Why do you feel you have to work "blue?"

Danny John wrote:That is exactly what I learned this weekend: If you are going to go high, snatch it. Swings humbled me. I had so many tech errors on the thing and it is the simplest move in the Big Six of kbell lifts.

So: if you are going to swing it high, snatch it. Then count the reps. Don't stop doing them until you can't do them.
Learned that lesson a few months ago. Much better results in the swing just letting it get to shoulder level.

But drinks less!

Sterno is a bad scene... better men than Cooch have fallen prey to the Pink Lady.

Nah, I just looked back at the earlier parts of the thread, and some of the pics of Cooch made me think of him behind a Gas-N-Sip somewhere, trying to filter a can of Sterno through a loaf of bread.

Ya' think? I almost met Pukie just watching the misery. How is it that more people aren't reporting injuries from doing things like this?

Right now they can get away with it because of the lighter weights and their dumbass youth but they will be, just wait till they get older. Shit will be snap crackle and popping like crazy.
When it all hits the fan and they wonder why, you can laugh even more at them.

Two notes;

1. With 135 on the bar you don't get to be called "Bro", unless it is curls or skull crushers.

2. Is that a Kosovo Flag on the stairway?

Complex, weighted movements for high reps quickly degrade in technique leading to bad habits and injury, even if you are a weak underperformer.

When I watch this vid I can see why the xfitters who try real o-lifting have such problems.
It's also funny how they all seem to have the same quirks in their lifts, at least the one's I've seen.

I turned bodyweight squats (Athlete squatting bodyweight) for reps into a drinking game. So, I imagine this will be easier.

The over/under in Vegas is nine and a half.

*I'm up late and high on cold and sinus meds so bear with me this is going to be a long rambling post.*

I've made an interesting observation in regards to Xfit folks.

The ones who just workout and stay off the internet are decent people.

It's all the internet tough guys who are lying about their times on the WOD and bragging about their 300# deadlifts that give Xfit a bad name.

Oh and that Glasshole Couch is a blight as well but that is just a given.

I've got a friend who is a certified Xfit instructor and he can't stand Glasshole anymore than my fat ass can. He was lured into the web by friend who was one of the early LEO freebie certs back in the day.

Yes Spidey fans about 4 or 5 years ago Couch was giving away free or discounted certifications to military, fire, and law enforcement types just to get his name out.

And the cert cost is another hilarious issue.

It used to be $1K for a cert period unless you could swing a deal with Couch and all trainers under you were free as long as they could get to a cert you were working. Then it went up to $500 for assistant trainers. And once you payed for one cert you could attend as many more as you wanted for free to help teach the Xfit method and to help progress your own knowledge.

Now there is like 3 or 4 levels of certs plus all the bells and whistles certs not to mention a franchise fee.

I mean fuck a goddamned jump rope cert is bad enough but when you teach basic lifting technique and call it a powerlifting cert you need to just die in a fucking grease fire.

Couch is one marketing genius.

Too bad he is such an egotistical asshole.

If he still had Dan John, Mark Twight, and all the other good people that he's alienated over the years pushing his master plan he'd be a world power by now.

On another note what is the story with Robb Wolfe?

He was an Xfitter then he wasn't and now he is again.

And Couch hasn't had a disparaging thing to say about John Hackelman selling his PIT training dvds with Xfit workouts on it with no direct reference to the source material.

Is that because he knows John will beat his gimpy ass?

As a matter of fact I haven't seen John on the Xfit website lately.

Hmm

Jim,
I can tell you a little about Robb because I know him from a distance. He's a solid guy who's focused on training and nutrition. No one has diet wired quite like him and no one can argue with his training background (was a competitive p-lifter). Unfortunately, he's not a great promoter.
He defended DJ and Twight and was then accused of forming a cabal to overthrow the CF empire. Again, internet tough guys swinging off the GWF's nutsack attacked without full knowledges and Robb retreated to the PM.
Robb never came out and blasted anyone. He was always professional and, well, Robb. A nice guy.
Finally, he and the GWF kissed and made up. I take it he paid his affiliate fees, and now is under the CF umbrella once again. He realized, as did Greg Everett, that the road to riches in the training world runs through Santa Cruz (now Prescott, AZ).
I know there are many details I am missing, but all this is essentially what happened. In conversations with Robb, I always got the impression that he felt like he pissed off Dad but didn't know why.
Rant may have a better idea of what went down, but we both saw the day of reconsiliation coming. Especially for Everett and his oly lifting enterprise. Couldn't rip off CF without incurring the wrath of the GWF.

Thanks Banned.

I figured it was something like that.

I noticed it happened just like you explained.

Robb was there, then he was quietly gone, and now he's back again.

If he's happy then good for him.

He is very knowledgeable guy.

It's never the actually performers at Xfit that piss me off it's the damned kool aid drinking zombies, that asshole Couch, and his lesbian internet mafia.
