Re: The couch thread
Yeah.
Burpees....sagging lumbar area, overall shitty movement mechanics for the majority.
Snatches...because it's for time, it's gonna be stiff legged rounded back ghetto power snatches.
Overall impact will be strained backs and shoulders.

Re: The couch thread
I occasionally glance at things like the crossfit reddit, and it's always amusing to me to see the flurry of articles in advance that they post from their coaches saying, "EVERYBODY SHOULD DO THE OPEN," and all the questions of people asking, "SHOULD I DO THE OPEN?" (the answer is always "OMG YES") This is an utterly ingenious way to milk money out of these people. $20 and you can't even do the first workout. And even if you could, you didn't need to spend $20 to do it.
So what is the benefit of "competing"? something something broad time and modal domains more like birthday party. CASH FOR GLASSMAN.

I've had reports of about 12 different significant injuries including
labram tears
disk blow outs
pulled hamstrings
one guy dropped a bar on his teeth.

Re: The couch thread
This is a testament to the unknown and unknowable. Looking at the snatch/burpee WAD, I would've called blown discs and broken teeth, but hammies? Torn labrams? Nice!!! Pouring one out for the couch right now.Shafpocalypse Now wrote:I've had reports of about 12 different significant injuries including

Wait, how the fuck do you score that workout? Jones said she got 140sumpin.
I don't have a lot of experience with vampires, but I have hunted werewolves. I shot one once, but by the time I got to it, it had turned back into my neighbor's dog.
