It is, but almost every other squat is crooked too, perfect symmetry is rare

Studies of @fit are fine, as long as the results are what headquarters want. If not, the researchers should have their attorney available.

I hate laughing at that vid, but, it was humorous. I like the little woman who comes out screaming about the 95# squat in the monolift. Awesomeness.

Agreed. I laugh under the assumption that no one was seriously hurt.

That woman was something else. The spotters deserve a medal for not losing it.

I was at a PL meet, Krozaleski was the back spotter. A woman came out, and wanted her trainer, one of the first 1000# squatters in the Michigan APF, to spot her. Kroc and I just looked at each other and laughed.

Pretty funny.....

http://glossynews.com/society/religion/ ... r-fitness/
The brutal conflict between traditional, moderate fitness aficionados at franchise gyms and the growing radical Crossfit movement escalated tragically yesterday, as a suicide bomb exploded in a 24-Hour Fitness in the LaJolla neighborhood of San Diego, killing 5 and wounding 12.
The alleged perpetrator, Johhny “Burpee” Lawrence, 26, was a member of Crossfit Jihad, a militant fitness group known to meet in an extremist training facility, or what is called a “box” in Crossfit doctrine. Lawrence’s “box” trained in the garage of a local leader, or “coach,” Mick McAllister.
There is no WOD but WOD, and Greg Glassman is its messenger.
We aim to convert followers of false workout programs by constantly talking about our workouts and by wearing annoying T-shirts with double entendres about powerlifting, not by violence. Our boxes are independent entities whose coaches interpret the WOD for their members. Unfortunately, some of our coaches issue their own edicts, or fatWODs, that are inconsistent with the philosophy of Crossfit as expressed on our website. Crossfit is a workout of peace.
Local authorities urged residents to report any individuals exhibiting radical Crossfit signs and symbols, such as ridiculous socks, calloused hands, Paleo diets, and planking in inappropriate places.

If the NSCA did, in fact, falsify the reasons why the folks in the study dropped out, then they can reap what they've sown.

It is like Hillary and Mr Obama fighting to a knockout only. The longer and more brutal and expensive it is the better.

And anybody who uses the buzzword "space" can jump in and get wrecked too.

It might be a bullshit suit, but their hired help is pretty good: Latham & Watkins is one of the biggest firms in the world, and many of their lawyers are top notch.

This is a blend of defense (get that study off their backs and rally the troops) and offense (discourage others from undertaking similar studies).

True. Yet the brief is really shrill. Odd.

Bullymarketing is putrid.

Even the best firms have their JV teams, and even the best lawyers have off days. Something else I've seen in practice is that many lawyers tend to mirror, often without realizing it, their clients' behavior.

So expect to see a bunch of high-priced lawyers with hangovers, STIs and torn labrums.

It's eeery isn't it....?

The part of the brief I read was kinda cuntastic but they picked a good angle to go after.

As for meat of the claim...falsifying data? pffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffft. Gimme any one of us twenty minutes with a clipboard at the local box as we can illuminate the court regarding crossfit and injuries.

A minor correction.

This made me want to puke.
Funny thing happened on the way to the box.....
This morning my wife and I were stressing and arguing about our WOD schedule. I wanted to wod in the morning but she want to go after work.
Then we both started to laugh, realizing how much Crossfit has changed our life. We are stressing over WOD instead of what and where to eat or what to wear.

Whoever said Crossfit's key demographic is the 20 or 30-something crowd with no sporting background, no competitive experience, no team sport participation, etc, was dead on.

Oh, but now they have a sporting team to root for in the:
https://www.facebook.com/profitnessleague

THe profitless league. I know it was pointed out before, but there is going to be a fitness battle of Micheal Jackson "Beat It!" proportions. Gladiators will blush, judoka will quit, Chael Sonnon will retire (my bad), Godzirra will come out of hiding. It will be fucking epic.
