How does the expression go - damned with faint praise?

Mark Rippetoe on CF:
Glad you had a good experience. There are very few bad ones to be had. The thing I like most about CF is the fact that it draws the best people on the planet, and that this is absolutely true everywhere I've been.
IOW, it's a lousy program but the pussy is free...

On a serious note, this is just not the attitude of a champion at anything. This reads like some suburban kid hoping to make it big in MMA and still waiting for his first fight.

What gives? Is this just coincidence? Is there some ultra marathon/body art connection I am not aware of?

Personally, if I knew multiple people puked after doing Barbara, I'd do someone else.

How do you edit a thread I wrote? It says at the bottom of the page that i can do it, but i don't know where to do it
Deleting account

I would like to delete my account. If i did that, would the thread and any post I posted be deleted?

Weren't we supposed to out all our x-fit trolls as a group?

It will put Glasshole over the edge when he finds out how many members come from here.

SnowAngel got Rhabdo too:

Sore and in pain and nauseated, but happy.

One of the downsides of the Internet is that it allows like-minded people to form communities, and sometimes those communities are stupid.

Randy T., an affiliate, calling Twight out because Twight didn't want his own shit pasted onto someone else's board.

I'll honor your request Mr. Twight, but it's sad that you're acting this way about it. I never claimed it was my material and wasn't trying to gain stature from it. I clearly cited you as the source at the end of the article. It was actually putting you and your program on a pedestal. I can clearly see why you and Glassman had a falling out. It's cool though that a little garage gym like mine makes you feel threatened. Have nice night.

Randy Tarasevich
And this!!!!
3. I thought it was funny that Mark had nothing better to do than police the Internet for people using his material.
...

5. Maybe sometime it is better to ask. Some people really take IP seriously, even if it's not really new or important material.

It's very interesting how Mark seems to imply that the content of the work is important enough to warrant protecting, as if it's new material and not derived from another source.
Are these assholes missing the irony?

I read the thread about Mark and I just can't believe the guy posted the email. I read the articles at Mark's site and I think it is obvious you are not supposed to cut and paste them.

Ironically, it would fall within 'fair use' guidelines of copyright to satirize, criticize, or critique that piece and copy and paste passages from it.

A quick Google search of him plus Santa Barbara yields the fact that he is/was a Pike at UCSB. So at the very least we can agree he is likely a douche across broad modal domains.

You know, I use to sell hella juice to the Pikes at Northern Illinois and while most were total dicks I didn't see any faggots like this Cedarbaum.

I used to work at the UCSB gym, I would have loved to watch that guy vomiting on my shift.

It unpossible ta think of nuther way ta squat to depths...
Med balls for squat depth?

I have a bunch of homemade med balls, and they work great! I have a couple 8#s, a 14#, 15#, 16#, and a couple of 20#s. No leaks, no bounce. They work!

I have been struggling with the idea of buying some Dynamax balls, simply for squat depth. A handful of my athletes have a problem getting low enough, not because they can't, but because they think they are going low enough. I know many affiliates/gyms use balls for this. But I can't afford to buy a bunch of Dynamax balls! I could simply get the lightest ones I guess, but I hate to spend that much money on something that will be used sparingly.

Does anyone else have any ideas for me in lieu of Dynamax? I know about the G2S balls, but they're back ordered until June, and they're still not cheap.

Thanks for any ideas!

cuz just tellin' 'em to get lower wouldn't work. And this guy is a "trainer", shouldn't you at least be able to assemble simple verbal cues to pass a @F cert?
