Speaking of Dirty Diva. It does my heart good to see that Hop Sing is back in the big bed getting to fifth base on a regular basis.

Three comments.
1. With regards to his technique... Welcome back to high school football.
2. On that topic... My recollection says that high school football players have generally shittastic technique on every exercise. Then how can they perform the CFFB workouts effectively or safely?
3. It's interesting how Josh isn't curled up like a fetus on the floor after completing the workout.

Who's the dark haired douche talking in that vid?

Josh Everett is a six sigma man. On top of that, he's all go and doesn't give a fuck about show. The average @F cares more about appearance than a bodybuilder. JE cares about performance.

Good to see you came back momentarily to your senses...for a while. Enjoy watching you thrash with your training demons like Damon and Leo in "The Departed".

Your blog is cool but a close approximation of "Atlas Shrugged' meets "Sybil" meets "Stop the Insanity".

You are on to something about Irish carb attraction and inflammation though.

Why can't these people just give it a rest? They place their salvation in their joints. When the joints go what are they left with?

Not with these people. Look at what happened to Dirt Road Diva and Calfless Carl. Once he dropped his mileage she dumped his ass and went right back to Hop Sing who was simply batting from the other side of the plate in the interim. What will baldy do when his little bride gets knocked up and full of stretch marks? These people are narcissists, West coast phonies and about as shallow as they get. Their workouts reflect their inability to think long term about anything.

That's something that @Fers are missing. CF didn't make Josh. Some people are just better than the rest of us. He's trained hard for years. IIRC he only does actual CF mainpage for about a month and then goes and kicks ass at the Gaymes. Jackassery of @F notwithstanding, he's placed in the top 3 the past two years at the Gaymes. He's a badass (and seems to be a nice guy).

Patrick, JE goes around 120/160 in OLY. I wouldn't get too concerned about his form. That's what a man looks like doing jumping jacks with 60kg.

Hey, Rant, how does your new paleo diet compare to the Zone diet you did when you were a crossfitter?

Josh was at my RKC, before CF was on anybody's radar. He was a machine then.

I hated the Zone with all the measuring and the @fit phaggistry. I’m really following the Protein Power guidelines. I eat some cheese and use a lot of olive oil so it’s not really Paleo in that sense. No grains at all and easy on the high carb fruits. But other than that I just eat until I’m full. I’m not really eating any more meat than before but I eat a lot more fruits and vegetables. A lot more. The first week I went from 215 to 208 although I’ll chalk that up to carb water retention. Image and weight aside I simply feel better. The first 4-5 days were hard. My secondary goal is to hit 195. Then I will reevaluate introduction clean grains. I will I believe I’m carb/sugar sensitive which makes sense in lieu of my history with the booze. Most of the guys that are still left from my sobering up class are pushing 3 bills. They can’t handle the carbs/sugar. The smokers stayed trim.

They know so little about training that they can't see past today's workout. That's why puking every day is so important to them. Train with heart, never with brains. The recipe of champions.

I've got no doubt that man is strong as fuck, but the droves of CrossFitters who try to emulate that aren't. I wonder if there's something specific about the high-rep retardedness that pushes people into using bad technique. Even in this video of Donny Shankle (an actual weightlifter) doing "Grace," he's mangling the lifts from the get-go.

Patty, you need to channel your hate. Save it up for 3-5 days and then unleash it. Alternatively you could post some crossfit cincy wod videos instead of tearing down legit athletes who got filmed tasting koolaid. Fuck, the fact that those clowns spend so much time running around with recording equipment fucking pisses me off...and just supports the narcissism analysis. Post a shot of me cleaning 75# all knocked kneed and unracked with my eyes bugging out and drool spraying into to camera, I don't think so. I will work on my form in private forfucksake.

and yet, like a wookie, Dony Shankle could tear your arms off. When going for flat out speed, form in an event shoudl be expected to suffer to the dgree the particular event is totally retarded.

max number of stone loads in a minute...pure awesomeness...

max number of stupidly light power clean and presses in a minute?...ghey as a three dollar bill.

max sandbag loads in 20 min and then squat the same for 10 min? utterly redonkulous.

Shankle did not "mangle" anything. He walked away from a gold medal at the national championships of Olympic weightlifting, got in a car, smoked a couple of cigs while riding in the car, showed up at Rogue, smoked a cig outside, went in and was convinced to do this workout. In boots and jeans he did the workout. He did a respectable job of it, despite his not having in any way trained for anything like it. Effeciency, when doing weight that is 1/3 of your maximum weight is different from efficiency when doing 100% of your weight. Different form entirely is required to be "efficient". Donny demonstrated pretty good efficiency and form winning the national championships, then demonstrated pretty good efficiency and form (form for the task at hand) in doing quite well at something he had never done anything like... about an hour afterward.

PS, there is no doubt in my mind, NO DOUBT, that Donny, or others, could do that workout in less than a minute, far quicker than it has ever been done before, if they practiced it for a couple of times.

Donny is an athlete, and a damn sight better than most at what he does. He ventured outside his comfort zone to put on a show, and shouldnt be denigrated for it. U do that workout faster than he did, do it with practice, do it after training for it, THEN say something about what he did with no practice and no training. Do at least that, before you criticise.

Sig

Do you really think the guy needs to perform perfect squat cleans with precise body positioning when he's got, literally, child's weight on the bar???
