This is by far one of the most intelligent and thought out posts I have ever read over on their forums:
I find it odd that so many people seem to take this moral highground concerning steroid use. For the record, I don't take steroids [would be pretty obvious to tell if you saw me...] but I have no problem with someone who does.
Why shouldn't people be allowed to use steroids?
To the best of my knowledge (someone please correct me if I'm wrong), steroids just reduce your down time so you can train again sooner, i.e. you don't become a beast by simply using steroids and sitting on the couch, you do in fact have to train twice as much (or whatever the factor is).
This competition is completely arbitrary in terms of how we measure performance - of course I appreciate the line has to be drawn somewhere e.g. chest to bar on pullups; I just would have expected CF to also appreciate that using 'enhancements'/drug testing is completely arbitrary as well.
If someone can set a world record, say, in the C&J by using steroids as a supplement in his training regime, who is anyone to say that's not legitimate? Why is achieving a world record without steroid use inherently 'better' than if one did - surely when we measure human performance we're trying to be objective. Do we care, purely for the purposes of measurement, how someone achieved that record? Would you call someone who wore weightlifting shoes and a belt or took fish oil everyday a cheater? Thus why would you call someone who took steroids a cheater?
I don't know what the specific long term health detriments are, but one could go so far as to say the person who is willing to sacrifice their long term health for world class performance is more deserving of the rewards and glory competing at that level brings than someone who isn't.
There was no arguments put up against it. The sheeple pretty much pretented it did not even happen.
I almost feel bad for the guy. He seems to be fueled by intelligent thinking and common sense, but now that his shitfit-forum-hymen was just torn he is going to get fucked over repeatedly until he is just fucking stupid in the head.

Or maybe he'll end up posting here.

Fuck steroids. It IS cheating. What is so unclear about that to some people? I don't care if someone uses it to slow aging or to get ripped abs, but if you're using it in competition, you're a fuckin' douche. The whole purpose of sports is honest competition. "May the best man win," not "May the man with the best scientists pumping horse jizz into his veins win."
Roid freaks always use the argument that "Hey, it's not just magic. We still gotta put in the work." That argument is bullshit. The roids let you do shit you could never do clean. By roid-head logic you could swap out your arms for robot arms. Why not? YOU still gotta lift shit with them, right? It's not like the robot arms will just work on their own.
Do you have such little faith in this community and the coach & organisation that give you so much for free, that you have to distrust them, their ethics and their methods on a free, open forum organised by them?

The horror!
Questions that you know the answers to really don't need to be asked.
Fitting to post after a picture of Iggy. From the @-blog:
With the temperature rising right now at many CrossFit affiliates, often the desire to wear clothing lessens. Is this a distraction to training or an added benefit of being a member at a CrossFit box? Do the sexy bodies sell CrossFit just as much as the training?
1. Protesting that @F gives until it hurts is both hilarious and pathetic at the same time. That's the business model and it fucking works like crazy for GG.
2. Just what everyone needs is fucking sweat dripping all over the floor and equipment. I had to tell some football players that they weren't allowed to wear tank tops to the weight room. Sleeveless shirts were fine, but not tanks, because of the bars becoming slippery.

I don't think anyone really said that steroids are not cheating. If an organization bans steroid use, then it is cheating. The fact that these organizations banned steroids in the first place is questionable. There have never been any studies relating moderate steroid use to long-term health problems, though the media tries to portray them as horrible things that will give you roid rage and make your balls shrink. While those things can happen, it is not a direct result from usage, rather the results of taking hormones improperly (ie- too long of cycle or too much of the drug).
The US government arbitrarily decided to make possessing or selling steroids a federal offense, when there are far worse things they could be worrying about. If an organization decides to ban the use of steroids, fine. But the arguments given for doing so are not without holes.
This post captures the essence of @F blog discussions well. It contains some Couch-worship, acknowledgment of others' viewpoints followed by some non sequiter, attempts at pompous writing style, a confusing slew of mixed metaphors, and some general @F rim jobbing. And, of course, it is utterly pointless.

Well,
Coach did say that the workouts wouldn't be anything that anyone is familiar with.
Wod 1: Sudden Death "Peeing for Time" definitley fits that category...
DT, Bingo, and anyone else who is activley contributing to these discussions. I think most of you all have legitimate points on alot of levels. The most important message IMHO though is that it's a step in the right direction for a fledgling sport and an established community.
Reputation (for individuals within) (Coach if you're reading this I know you give the two fingered salute to the institution ;)), Integrity and for one of a better word - Virtuosity is a cornerstone of the crossfit microcosm. Taking a pragmatic approach - An excellent point was raised on the mainpage discussion log: We are data points. When you have a sample size there is always a distribution within the population - Lets just hope there isnt too fat a tail.
Good luck to all of the competitors. I sincerely hope you dont get a genuine injury or sickness leading up to the games because it sounds like the massess are going to "get medieval on your ass*" if you do..

The flesh is weak, and the smell of pussy is strong like a muthafucka.

My head asplode.
That "paragraph" is like sitting in on the worst corporate meeting in history. You'd fill up your Buzzword Bingo card in about a second.
I don't have a lot of experience with vampires, but I have hunted werewolves. I shot one once, but by the time I got to it, it had turned back into my neighbor's dog.

I'm still not sure what it even says. But your smiley is righteous. It puts old rolly eyes to shame.

This is a lot like how geocentricism eventually died, and heliocentrism became accepted:the observable evidence obviously completely disproved the official theory (sun revolves around the earth/@fit builds elite fitness, take your pick), so those the church/koolaid drinkers had to come up with increasingly more bizarre mental gymnastics (epicycles/modal domains, or whatever), building a mountain of bullshit one specious "proof" at a time, until eventually the whole construct collapses under it's own weight of self-serving absurdity, and everyone has to admit that Coppernicus/IGx was right all along.
