Thanks, Atilla.

some of the faithful:
I was a volunteer. Most of my time was in the barn. First: Jeff Tucker for president. He made us feel appreciated while we worked our tails off. Well organized guy and a kick to watch. All of the athletez were great. Gracious, helpful to eachother. Inspiring.
I dont know that I would have enjoyed it as a spectator. Too much time between events, too much being told to get out of the way of the media guys. I understand why so much media was needed, but it was overpowering at times.
The CF "stars" were very gracious and good with the fans. Someone asked OPT for an autograph, which seemed to surprise him. We've come a long way.
Great weekend. But here's the comment which will get this post sent to the trashbin. Glassman was very unimpressive. Mediocre opening speech. No where to be seen on Saturday. Minimal interaction with the fans. Cursory appearance on Sunday. I heard similar takes from others. I just dont get the guy.

Saturday. Arrived early, signed waiver, but wasn't allowed in to see the opening speech 'cause event was about to start. Event didn't start for, at least, 15-20 minutes AFTER; no reason I couldn't have walked through gates to find a seat. Most of day seemed to run smoothly. Could have shortened times between events a bit, but respected the wait for the athletes sake. Day was long -- very, very long -- but totally worth it.
Sunday. Well, it started off "poorly" for me. I arrived, parked along the side (where I parked the previous day), then was told to move. After a horrible explanation as to why I couldn't be there, I was told to my face that, "the $20 parking fee is to help support our event."
As an affiliate owner, athlete, and regular CrossFit cheerleader/evangelist, I was anger and hurt by the statement. I thought my plane tickets, hotel reservations, admissions, t-shirts and other swag purchases, screaming, cheering, etc showed my support for the event. I thought my affiliation fees, RRG, certifications, more swag and more CrossFit evangelism in my area showed my support of CrossFit. Yeah, you could say I was hurt.
$5 to park in a field, sure. $10, well, okay. But $20... It's not NYC, LA, or Miami; space at The Ranch was plentiful. Next time, give us a break on some of the petty little things. Support, just like the constant RRG "reminders," isn't just financial.
The rest of the day was tarnished, but surely not ruined. Plenty of great stuff to dote about... The timing seemed off, though. Day seemed to drag-on WAY too long. Didn't like the hour wait before the final ceremonies, but eh...
My guess is that couch was in an RV counting the $$ hand-over-fist.
EDIT/ADD:
Northwest's lowest placing was 11th in the OHS/pull-up WOD, but the outfit--Paul Zavaglia, Zak Middleton, Alek Vlaski, Lindsey Dion, Amanda Barelli and Laura Asbell--finished third in the run and fourth in the Stadium WOD. A diverse group that proves specialization is the enemy, the team features a former rugby/football player (Zavaglia), a tennis pro (Vlaski), a cyclist/track athlete (Barelli) and a basketball player (Dion).
WTF? Methinks they have the wrong definition of "enemy" in their heads. All REAL athletes before @F, as usual.
