You're right...my bad. It's Monday so I haven't had enough time to let the hate really build this week. This merely qualifies as "slightly gay".WildGorillaMan wrote:JohnnyBadAss wrote:The latest man-rammery from the @F forums: http://board.crossfit.com/showthread.php?t=47154HELP!!! Good day to all! I'm just trying to find out if any of the CFA's around the United States and the world, for that matter, want to start making it possible to buy shirts from them. I want to expand my collection dang it!! I don't know if their are others like me... If you too can't get enough crossfit shirts... welcome home!
Are you kidding? On the manrammery Richter scale, that doesn't even budge the needle.

Sharibaby's sense of self-worth is too tied up in having a man. But the way that ass is looking I suspect that will soon be rectified.

Can you smell the elite-osity?
http://games2009.crossfit.com/Games09Ha ... ountIt.jpg

Really, is OL hurting that bad for people that @F's poor impressions of OL lifts are really perceived to be helping? Other than more places selling OL equipment to yuppies?
http://games2009.crossfit.com/Games09Ha ... ountIt.jpg
No, that's NOT a snatch. That's more like a "one-move OH anyhow" or some other g-dawful thing like that. @F should really change the names of these exercises, since they're so poorly done that they don't resemble the REAL SPORT versions at all anyway. They could make super-elite names for them and then say that "no one else does them as well as we do!".In the picture, he sets a lifetime PR by 10lbs with a 205lb snatch. He presses the weight out, which was fully legal for the Games.

They're carrying PVC because you never know when nature is going to force you to stop and perform a few DB snatches. Or maybe the PVC represents a kettlebell. Or maybe farmer's carry. It's just so versatile, dammit!

Re: The couch thread
And speaking of gay. I hate to keep fellating Greyskull Gladiator Academy but I love this quote he uses from one of our own.
He cries out about douchebaggery and yet he still attempts to toe the party line. And how in the fuck did he know what a lululemmon is? I had to fucking Google it.Here's an interesting excerpt from an older article by Navy Pilot and Powerlifter, Jack Reape.
"Politicians have pursued pro baseball players who used performance-enhancing drugs, but ignored the corporate gyms that preyed on the little guy, giving him nothing in return for his membership fees beyond empty workout plans developed by "personal trainers" with little fitness expertise but large incentives to sell their services to people who don't know any better."
The sad observation here is that years ago that statement would have been understood to be about the Bally's, Gold's, 24 hour fitness crowd. It is impossible to ignore the fact that the majority of the get certified over the weekend for $1000 "affiliates" and "trainers" now fit snugly into that sterotype as well. Instead of a clipboard and a polo shirt, they have a stopwatch and underarmour or lululemmon, but the level of ineptitude, and lack of a valuable service is the same. I feel sorry for the good people doing good things whose name and reputation are coming under fire daily because of the behavior of these asses for the sole reason of being mutually involved with an organization who started out so opposed to this type of douchebaggery.

Mainpage lameness.
Talk about taking your dumbassery across broad modal whatnots. So much for training for Real Life. And I was just thinking about how I can't do any overhead or lifting, due to my messed up back. Dove off a cliff last week, the day after I PRed on the 5x5 deadlift day, and hyper extended my back when I hit the water... poor diving form I guess. Definitely in not going to press the issue... No pun intended.
I think I may have to sub with a bench press unfortunately.

Re: The couch thread
She can do that to my flag, well, maybe not with the horse too.
Edit: meh, horse can play too.

Re: The couch thread
I wanted to address this in the proper thread.
The reason why this is so is because @fit RX's the same poundages for everyone. Consequently, the women get built and the men get chronic fatigue syndrome.

Don't know how accurate it all is as the subject isn't my forte
http://www.tmuscle.com/free_online_arti ... drug_coach
It did have this little tidbit, though it has nothing to do with the rest of the article
TM: I see. Is that why they say CrossFit makes women hot and men small?
C: I like CrossFit for the average woman. It gets them doing real lifts and forces them to work hard. Unfortunately, other aspects of CrossFit are completely retarded
