to be fair some are in the 450-500 range. I occassionally do x-fit WOD's and posted a 450ish one a month or two back, and a few people beat me.

If you read the logs, some people implement x-fit quite intelligently - eg have a weights/strength focus day and then a couple of gpp days. But then again, there aint really much difference between what they do and, say a Charlie Francis approach of alternating high intensity weight sessions with low(er) intensity tempo runs and bodyweight circuits. I guess it goes back to the question of 'what is x-fit?'... and to be honest, it's nowhere near important enough to warrant such naval gazing.

Nothing he has ever said or done justifies that, to me. There is a line, and bringing in his wife crossed it. I guess I have an officer's screwed up sense of right and wrong. I think only Grandpa's Spells called him on it. Everyone else either agrees with it or is a moral coward for looking the other way. It's the IGx version of koolaid drinking.

This site is just one iteration of multiple versions over the last four years or so founded on the single notion that nothing is sacred and you can say whatever you have the stones to say. That can be some very liberating but also very heavy shit to deal with. You stated you're some kind of engineering teacher/professor so you are obviously educated and bright so I'm amazed and amused that you'd take the stance you're taking...like jumping into a mosh pit then getting pissed when someone kicks you in the head. But hey we can all make an ass of ourselves on occasion...I do it quite regular.

I used to frequent a sportbike forum years ago but I wasn't on there much nor did I post much. I was looking at it one day reading a post by some kid about his "best kill" during the first Iraq dustup. As I was reading the various replies I started getting very pissed that these lying little shits were talking so callously about killing. I made a reply, calling them all a bunch of pretending little cocksuckers and to pony up some proof of even being in the service etc. Sent a message to the moderators and basically made an ass of myself. The head moderator agreed with me but I felt like a dumbass because I got stirred up over nothing...just kids talking shit and it was their forum not mine. So pretty please with fucking sugar on top, chill or bag ass.

The only reason I said it wasn't cool was because I'm very familiar with the lack of character and tact on the CrossFit forum. Someone was going to (and did) take Fat Cat's quote and rabble about it on the CF forum to score points. There, Greg's wife might have gotten wind of it, and that could fuck with the sleeping habits of a possibly perfectly nice person with unfortunate taste in men.

But I wouldn't blame Fat Cat for that, any more than I would blame ogrish.com for being utterly uncensored when some dipshit sends me a picture from there. I get pissed at the dipshit. Greg was very stupid for cross-posting an IG thread to CF, as were the folks repeating Fat Cat's joking statements, as if they were serious, where Laurie might read them. THAT is reprehensible.

Just for your information so you don't take this too seriously. IGx was started after off topic barbs and opinions were disalloed at dragon door. One Steve Freides, self appointed netcop and owner of a head like a chia pet to go with a warped sense of training knowledge got us kicked off a server for some harsh, very innapropriate, and hilarious comments. Most of which were over the line, but that is the point. This site is about over the line, and nobody is above reproach. The couch and his acolytes brought their weak game and intellectually indefensible training approach debate to us. He was not asked, nor were his minions, to defend the pukey and rhabdo here or at DD. They jumped in at both places and 80K hits later it is still a huge source of fun for all. I don't know the man or his wife, and if she was offended i apologize in the broadest sense. Still, this is a site about over the line. We all can name something about each of the patrons we hate, for example the jealousy everybody here has for me is sickenning, but i plod on.

i suggest you plod on and not take this seriously. But hone your verbal knife fighting skills.
