Gee, it must suck having kids what with her busy schedule and what not. It must be rough fitting in all the partying, blogging, @fitting, traveling....etc.

the guys doing douchefit are probably all REMF's and POG's, doing "Don't Ask Don't Tell" for reps. the guys who get killed are probably doing that other pesky stuff. you know, like..fighting. going in harm's way. not jerking off with ammo cans.Youngman wrote:I do wonder, why is Cockroach saying that X@ will save soldiers at war, while at the same time he's publicly doing workouts with lost ones?

Sorry...I saw an announcement in Bagram for a "Fight Gone Bad" (a named WOD) contest at the snake eater compound. Could we have more information on this?Last week hundreds of police officers through out the North East met up in Salem for a fitness symposium and certification for police officers. It was a solid event but one thing came through loud and clear. Crossfit is not recommended for law enforcement officers.

I believe Kelly was a stud before CF. CrossFit can't create studs, so it recruits them.rjay09 wrote:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x9n9T4OgzLE@fit turned Kelly Moore into a KB stud-ette. Re: The couch thread
She was an elite powerlifter before CF. If you go back and look at the archives from 2003, you know right away she was really strong and had an already awesome strength to BW ratio. She had a muscle up pretty quickly. Of course, her CV conditioning wasn't great when she started, but that came up very quickly.
In regards to the comment....With the 16kg, several women have done very well quickly (Which is why we're moving to the 20kg). After I started working with Valery, my numbers shot up. Ashley Hughes and Bonnie Mullaney have both put up comparable numbers in the same amount of time (They are not CFers). Sure, we all had backgrounds that enabled us to do well quickly.
Kelly didn't do it without a lot of Coaching. In fact, she essentially doubled her snatch and Jerk numbers after working with me and specializing in the snatch-jerk. I remember in March of 2007 when she struggled to do 100 reps in the snatch. Of course, doubling her numbers required fitness and strength, but for the most part it was the technical work and specializing. Sure she had a CV base from CF. But, Ashley and Bonnie likely had a CV base from something else. While they outweigh Kelly (They are both at least 8 inches taller than she is), they are not as strong in terms of grinding strength.
Kelly is a dedicated person. Hard working and strict with her diet. That's why she did well. CF has given her GPP sure. What would be interesting is to see how fast a CF Man could MS or MSWC with the 32s.

Re: The couch thread
See, I told you cimes could verify. She also brought the thread back on point.
Could a CF male take a 32kg handleball and work up to MS? I doubt any of the CF studmuffins, with the exception of a Robb Wolf or some of the oly lifters, could even attempt a 10 min test.
So it goes like this: good background in a lifting sport; instant CF stud. CF stud first; fail in lifting sport.
Pretty sure that's how it goes.

Hell I don’t know what it was called. All I know is that a bunch of cops I know had to go to fitness thing for cops. Guys came from all over New England. They discussed and the various trends going today in fitness and gave a clear thumbs down to @fit for all the reasons we have discussed here ad nauseam.

Re: The couch thread
As I have said before any actual elites like Eva were elite long before they even heard about @fit and have long since retired form their sport. These people they trot out may be in shape or strong but they are not elite unless you dumb down the defintion. Elite atheletes are specailized, their training is highly specialized.

Re: The couch thread
But where did the tats go?
In other news: How you can become the next cooch; http://www.elitefts.com/documents/local ... ebrity.htm
You want to attract nutty, wannabe sluts? Go speak at a sex addicts' meeting about fitness. Better yet, be a guest speaker at a Weight Watchers' meeting. Lots of low self-esteemers waiting for the next fitness celeb to sweep them away from their husbands, get tatted up, and be dumped by you for a big-tittied trust fund baby.
Good times, good times.

Mike Boyle on Crossfit Radio defending his comments. Neil Anderson does not exactly give him a fair go.

Re: The couch thread
Neil Anderson...
"Matthew, It wasn't my intention to engage MB on philosophic or theoretical issues (we will let Coach and the other crossfit Titans do that). I invited him on the show to substantiate the claims he made during his podcast. I made this very clear to him. He accepted the invite and stated he could substantiate his claims. If you remember, he made many claims that were completely wrong, misinformed and downright nasty. In short, he treated all of us "like crap" and didn't have cause to do so. He owed the CF Nation, and it's founders an apology. Instead, he tried to divert attention from his shameful accusations and turn the show into a grandstand for his theoretical dogma.
I was having none of it.
For future reference, ANYONE who wants to come on CrossFit Radio and discuss differences in opinion will be welcomed with the utmost respect and courtesy. However, anyone who wants to come on CFR and try to smack down my beloved CrossFit, the CrossFit Nation, and its founders will be offered a chance to retract. After that they'd better have game, because I am going after them. Frankly, I find it suspect that you'd disagree with this. "
Later on the drones basically insist that to understand cultfit you need to do it and go get certified. Mike Boyle's observation of their posts, videos, and literature about pukie, rhabdo, poor lifting form, and the cavalier attitude toward all of the above was dismmised until he goes to the Cultfit Vatican and spills the puke of an innocent dupe.
i would love to go on and give Mr Anderson a quick PL54 deconstruction of their money making scheme. As somebody pointed out, cultfit imports studs, it doesn't make them.
i am shocked DJ associates with these nimrods.

Re: The couch thread
imagine how huge crossfit would be if cooch could actually walk the talk as opposed to being able to barely walk; if he didn't just spew random, belligerent idiocy ad nauseam and instead spoke rationally and added a dose of humility (even if only for the sake of marketing) to his efforts.
what if instead of a fat, gin-swilling hobbit steering the ship, it was one of their top good guys like like josh?
considering how successful they are with a lead, godzilla sized albatross pulling them under, i think if they had a better christ-boss, @fit would be mandatory in public schools by now.
thank glASSman for being glASSman.
