OMG!!!! I'm sorry, but the yellow chucks, do rag, shorty shorts, and long socks should never be worn by a dude. NEVER. I couldn't stop laughing. Ronnie Coleman couldn't even pull that off.
The cool thing about training is that becoming more sexy is just a side effect........

What makes you think they're @fitters?

http://www.primordialstrengthsystems.com/Home_Page.php

Check their webpage. no mention of modal domains, increased work capacity over time, the equation for power or any other of the meaningless shit you see on a regular @fit page

this has to be a spoof

You can't always make those assumption with the @fit out there.

With Tate giving occasional lectures to the Cultards, it's only a matter of time before 225 reverse band speed squats show up on an affiliate's webpage.

No doubt you're correct on that one. Because, hey, if you're doing 7 singles six times a year, you may as well mix in some boxes, bands, and chains, right?

Re: the lectures...I'm thinking Tate has given all of one lecture and they're mining the video and contact for all it's worth.

Ruptured finger tendons thread...
Well I found the weak link in my grip....I tore/ruptured my ring finger tendons I will be going in for repair surger in the morning. Anybody delt with this. I am hearing everything from 6 weeks to 6 month before I can pick something up??
Reply...
Hi Pat,

There are a few things that you can answer that will help to get you a better answer:

1. How did you injure your fingers?
2. Which tendon(s) is/are injured?
3. How is it that you had surgery on 8/28 and the sutures are being removed 3 days later? Typically skin takes about 7-10 days to heal.
4. What procedure was performed and what has your surgeon told you to expect as far as recovery goes?
Answer...
1. I think i injured my finger doing a ladder climb or during muscle up. I was going between the two and my finger felt wired/ stopped bending right. I thought at the time I had jammed it or tweeked the muscles. it wasn't untill later that I was told I had torn the tendons
2. I tore the tendons that flex the tip of your ring finger, they had to "chase" it as it retracted back into my palm.
3. I had surgery friday, an was wrong on when I go into see the doctor tomorrow to get a review on my hand an new cast/splint thing. I am currently schededled to get my stiches out on the 10th. Percocet makes dates fuzzy as I found out this morning thinking I had an appoinment.
4. according to the paper work I had ring FDP repair surgery. My flexor tendons for the ring finger were torn/ripped/lacerated. The surgeon is where my questions ultimatley comes from. He stated 4-6 months before I could use the hand again. The neat little trifold I got explaining the repair stated 6-12 weeks. My brother just had it done on his left hand it took him 10 weeks to full use.

So I really looking for a recovery date an what people did to deal with not using there right hand.

One of the downsides of the Internet is that it allows like-minded people to form communities, and sometimes those communities are stupid.

Thats right. You take some douche who's never done a day of labor in his life and start having him sproing around like a godamn jungle ape and you're bound to see some damages. Wasn't @fit collecting $$ for some insurance policy? Thats to provide payouts for lawsuits, right? Like the person that sued for spilling hot coffee all over their fat self.

Dave Tate teaching CrossFitters about coaching athletes.

I'm surprised Glassman himself didn't give that lecture, with the countless professionals - no, Olympians! - that he has couched to glory.

Reply to Tate's video's
Dave,

Spot on with dynamic, sport-specific warmups in-season. However, many high schools have strict rules that forbid out-of-season practice--some states have more strict interpretation than others as to what constitutes practice vs. what is (permitted) general sports conditioning. A wide receiver running pass patterns or a lineman doing pulling steps could be considered illegal out-of-season practice in some states.
Yeah we wouldn't want to do something ILLEGAL. I'm sure none of the State champs break that rule.

In other news let's praise a guy for not telling us about and injury and then show him doing something that would be questionable for a person with good knees

Image
I opened the envelope and slid out an x-ray film. Holding it up to the dome light, I saw a blacked out joint, a femur and tibia joined by thin white tentacles and a pile of rubble, the detritus of a destroyed knee.

“This is your knee! Jesus, why didn’t you tell me?”

My brain cycled wildly between disbelief and regret. I’d stood beside John, demanding range of motion, demanding bodyweight back squats, the Space Needle built on a pile of marshmallows. I’d told him to do what no sane man should.

"My ACL is gone, too."

typical gym-use of anabolic steroids hovers around 10-20%, with a high (in one Gym I’ve read about) of 90%. So why wouldn’t the numbers be equivalent – if not higher – for Crossfitters, who consider themselves much more “hardcore” than the average gym member…?
But the question remains “Do CrossFitters use anabolic steroids?”

The answer is yes. Unequivocally, yes. The incidence of use is not as high as bodybuilding or powerlifting, but I know (firsthand) that steroids are being used…the difference is that they’re taboo in that community, while in powerlifting or bodybuilding, they’re accepted, and part of open conversation.

I know several guys who are either involved in the CrossFit community, train at CrossFit gyms, subscribe to the newsletter, or just do the workouts…and who use anabolic steroids. One of them has done a cycle, another has done one and is starting a second shortly, and a third has done one cycle (but with no plans to do another), and another has done steroids for decades.
it’s basically like steroid testing a 5k fun-run at the local park

I glanced through that yesterday and was meaning to post it.

I thought the post at the end of the thread was pretty funny:
Maybe someone should just start a thread of hot crossfit chicks.

Welbourn is a complete beast though if he can do 23 strict pullups at 300 pounds.
