Can't believe I missed this gem...a buddy of mine who trains at a local gym told me about it:
http://www.crossfit.com/mt-archive2/007743.html
Five rounds for time of:
15 foot L-rope climb, 1 ascent
5 Parallette handstand push-ups
45 pound barbell One-legged overhead squat, 10 reps

For the rope climb, begin seated on the ground. For the handstand push-ups, the ears should dip below hand level. For the one-legged squats, alternate legs.
This will go down as another moment of Asstro/Pudding brilliance.

I have pretty damn good squat mobility and doing one of these with an aluminum bar, in OLY shoes, on my good side leg, was tough enough for me to realize just how dumb high reps of them are.

I wonder what Weaksauce McCord and his .5 BW press was like six months ago, before he learned all his strength knowledges.

And wasn't one of those fatal? Seriously tragic situation.

A couple of questions here. Has anyone noticed that with the games only two weeks away the @fit Online Store is still offline?

http://store.crossfit.com/
The CF store is now closed:(
Stay tuned for the launch of the new CrossFit/Reebok online store opening shortly.

And more importantly, it's good to see the @fit RRG make an appearance as an official vendor of the Games.

http://www.crossfitrrg.com/

Maybe someone in the know can explain why the RRG chose as their mascot the three headed hound who guards the gates of Hell?
Abandon hope, all ye who paid your fees.
The RRG money sure didn't go into site design.

Because it is the doing that matters. The flailing. The sweating. The crowing. The superiority over others who aren't doing. THAT matters. The numbers don't.

Or he's just an idiot, as Edward points out.

No hubris is 1/2 or more of the problem with this shit as well.

Much like the kid at my gym the other day who worked up to a max of 145# on the power clean with the donkey kick and elbows down rack. He started with 95# and threw the bar down and strutted off like he was king shit after every rep. He was approximately 150 to 165 pounds so it wasn't even a body weight clean.

You know I didn't realize how big @fit has gotten, but I saw a SUV today with some big Crossfit sticker on the back. I tried to find their webpage from the main site. I found out my hometown, where the high school drew from 3 communities and my graduating class was 94 people, has a crossfit now.

From their web page
By Erin Okonek, Coach fo CrossFit Olympic Lifting Courses By definition, Crossfit workouts are constantly varied, functional movements, performed at a high intensity. More simply stated, "It is hard as F*@#! “ Yet these attributes do not sufficiently capture the true meaning of Crossfit and inadequately defend Crossfit to the copious amounts of other workout programs that people are bombarded with on a daily basis. Overall, Crossfit is not a workout program, it is a lifestyle. (I would personally go even further to state that it is my religion and therapy). Granted for some of us Crossfit addicts, it is about "chasing the rabbit", competing, and becoming a Firebreather, but most importantly, Crossfit, unlike other workout programs, makes us better overall people by creating strong, confident, and dedicated individuals.
