Plodding along through the sand is hard as a motherfucker, but isn't exactly riveting television.

Re: The couch thread
Does the roll out count or is measured from the spot where the ball first hits ? If so, why not have them drive a golf ball too? That would be good for some lulz.Hymen Asshole wrote:Softball throw is part of the Special Olympic games as well, everyone's a winner, everyone's eleetYes I Have Balls wrote:Event 2

Broken link, Quacky. With your computer skills you should be running the livefeed.
Re: The couch thread
People having hissy fits over on FB (https://www.facebook.com/CrossFitGames?sk=wall) and on the @Fit message boards. You never would have seen that a year ago.
47 visitors to the couch thread right now. How much has this thread been responsible for people feeling free to air out their complaints?

You underestimate the work capacity demonstrated in an isometric functional movement for time...oh wait. My bad. 'Tis neither of those things.Cave Canem wrote:L-sit for time !!! The excitement is just..........nonexistent.
Fixed above link. It is worth looking at for hilarity.

Re: The couch thread
The softball throw is on now. The comparison made to the special olympics is accurate. This is a truth divined through competition and not debate !
But in reality what is sadder, their inept performance at this basic skill that almost all boys are brought up doing or the fact that I'm even watching these abortion clinic refugees attempt this shit ?

Re: The couch thread
I can't believe this shit.
LOL
I know someone else has already said it but between the Reebok clothing line debacle and the dumbshit at the games they could have let us run the the shit and we could have done better gag competitions and shirts out of pure fucking meanness. I love it.
I love watching them turn on their own when someone whines or complains. So much for community.

Mikko was stung by a stingray (but cleared by medical to continue if he felt okay). Rob just felt like he was sinking and swallowed too much salt water.
Re: The couch thread
I mean any "sporting" event that has a fucking softball throw for distance is a goddamn joke.... plus having one swim workout all year on the mainsite and then throwing in an open water swim at the gaymes.... its just irresponsible and stupid.
I'm at the point now where I am ready to pull a Varg Vikernes and burn down @fit boxes. Of course I don't actually mean that (the law enforcement and self-incrimination disclaimer).
I find it fucking amazing that people follow this shit like it means anything real besides "fittest jackass in CF".

**SIGH**
On an overcast morning at Santa Monica Beach, the individual athletes prepared for a brutal series of movements that closely resembled Navy SEAL BUD/s training.

FUCK. Will someone please hunt whoever said down this and get me his name and address? I have a few SEAL acquaintances I'd like to introduce him to.Crust Bucket wrote:**SIGH**On an overcast morning at Santa Monica Beach, the individual athletes prepared for a brutal series of movements that closely resembled Navy SEAL BUD/s training.

Re: The couch thread
So it appears there were no elbow or shoulder injuries. My take on that: the competitors lack the strength/power to actually pose themselves any threat.

Yeah, maybe a pre-breakfast warm up. (for the SEALS not the @fitters - clarification is for the numerous @fit guests trolling here today).Crust Bucket wrote:**SIGH**On an overcast morning at Santa Monica Beach, the individual athletes prepared for a brutal series of movements that closely resembled Navy SEAL BUD/s training.

either they pose no threat or they got lucky...
or maybe they are actually active enough in the shoulder joint to withstand throwing a fucking ball.
still... what real test of fitness throws a softball?

I'm laughing. Everytime I pull up the live feed it's fucked.
Everytime I actually see something, I see some sad sack shit.
What makes me howl with laughter is thinking about how Budding's going to spin this clusterfuck.
Also, affiliate owner dipshits reading this:
Where is your RRG, and why did Dale Saran say it was going to be rolled out in 2 weeks 2 years ago?

I did the softball toss in junior high. Along with a shuttle run, 50 yard dash, 600 yard run, standing long jump, pull-ups and push-ups. Although that was 1967.

Re: The couch thread
I guess I'm impressed by 30 or 40 yard handstand walking... but on the other hand, who the fuck would think anyone would watch this on tv?

@16 I could walk around a wrestling mat 5 times on my hands. Most of the 10 year old gymnasts I know can walk up and down obstacles.

Some of the chicks are walking on their hands farther than the guys threw the ball.
