Aug 19, 2011 - Andro Friday. As usual, great job.

Did anyone else do a double take at this picture because at first glance they thought "Michael Jackson" to themselves?

the IOC and by extension the USOC doesn't fuck around when licencing dollars are on the line. If they don't get their tribute they will go after you like Armenian Mobsters, which in fact some of them may have once been.
They weren't making any money off the site, at least not enough to pay a lawyer around $750 to write two or three letters back to them. This suit wouldn't go anywhere since "Oly" and "Olympic weightlifting" refer, in the public's eyes, to a sport or style of lifting. USOC just got pissed because Vaughn was involved, I suppose.
IOC doesn't give a fuck if you're not making money. A trademark is a trademark, and they want to get paid. I still recall in the time leading up to the '88 Winter Olympics the IOC sic'ed the mad dog lawyers on long time family owned businesses in Calgary like Olympic Paints and Olympic Pizza and Donair.

A mother to her son:
http://strongisnewskinny.blogspot.com/2 ... jumps.html
The 1st thing I was having him do, was a combo of 12 inch box jumps paired with ring rows. He jumped up on the box once...then twice...then the 3rd time he looked a lil iffy. I see it all the time, people get to feeling confident or get tired and they lose focus, get sloppy and that's when falls occur. As he was doing his 4th jump, I said, "When you get to the top, stop because I want to tell you something about staying focused." As I said this, he jumped, caught the box with a toe, hit his knee on the edge of the box, and landed on the lifting platform. You'd think it would've scared me. It didn't. This is normal. People fall or bleed in our gym. It happens.

My biggest concern was not whether or not he was hurt. I knew he'd be fine. I wanted to use this as a teaching experience. He was breathing deep, trying to hold back the tears, shoulders hanging down, frowning and looking at me with big brown eyes that look just like mine. I sat him down and talked about how important it is to stay focused, and I told him that he should get right back to jumping.

"Don't be afraid of the box son. This happens in here all the time. The important part is that you don't become afraid of the box or feel like a failure. One day, you might fall again, and that's okay too. You get up and you jump again and again."

He nodded and smiled at me with glassy eyes, full of tears that he never let fall. We cleaned up his bloody knee and he finished the first of 3 short workouts.

LMAO
I am a walking contradiction. I am strong enough to hold my own with the boys at the gym, but I'm a shoe obsessed girly girl the rest of the time. I'm tough as nails on the outside, but sensitive on the inside. I'm the smartest airhead you'll ever meet. I'm an unorganized neat freak that's always making a mess. I hate being late, yet I'm late EVERYWHERE I go. I'm silly and I'm serious. I am many things. I am me.
PUHHHHLEEAZE tell me she's "level 1 certified!!!!" and considers herself a coach

and what kind of weak 'men' train at her gym if she's hanging with them??

Okay, long story short: Sport Chek is a massive Canadian sporting good retailer with hundreds of stores coast to coast across a half dozen different banners. They're basically our version of Sports Authority: they're huge.

A couple of times a year they bring out this co-op advert magazine called Fusion that's basically a giant advertisement disguised as a lifestyle magazine.

http://www.sportchek.ca/shop/index.jsp? ... Id=3939385

Represented in the magazine is virtually every brand, major and minor, from Nike to DC Shoe to Livestrong. And yes, Reebok figures prominently in not only shoes and apparel but exercise accessories as well.

With one exception. Not a peep of a whisper about Reebok Crossfit One. No hint at all that Reebok has a toe in that pool.

Sport Chek is the dominant sporting goods retailer for 30 million Canadians and Reebok would rather pitch their walking shoes to them than Crossfit One.

Speaks volumes IMO.

It means Reebok is HUGE to Cultfit but Cultfit is basically meaningless to Reebok.

So I see Atlas stones and I think, cool.

Then I see the 130 lb L1-certified clipboard douches and my only thoughts are "how are they going to get a case of rhabdo out of this?"

That page is going to go down in history as a PRFail of epic proportions. It's like HQ is completely tone deaf when it comes to perception.

Someone on FB said it best about Budding's approach to reality: "Well, how can you sanitize something you don't recognize in the first place?"

Wow. Just, wow, at the comments.

Let's face it. If you were handed a job at HQ or with mainpage, affiliate page, or forum, it's because glassman knew, deep down inside, you were a fucking spearcarrier who would STICK WITH THE PROGRAM.

@F doesn't need reasonable people in positions of responsibility, they need people who are going to run the decision tree the same way, every time, even if the answer do change.

Hey, what happened to the bolded identification and link to Crossfit Apex under the photo?

http://www.crossfit.com/cf-affiliates/2 ... 10816.html

A little late to close that particular barn door, I'd say...

And I wouldn't change a thing. I take an almost unhealthy pleasure in watching them hang themselves. Digging themselves deeper is HQ's strongest modal domain.
