Tebow has come down from the mount
He led his 10 disciples to a 4th quarter near-comeback. His Righteousness has birthed a nation of Believers and he will now unleash his Wrath on the rest of the NFL nation.

Tim Tebow will circumcise Linebackers with his knife-point passing accuracy.

He is great and not a free agent at the end of the season. Unlike the two other spares.

He seems holier than thou and I don't think he is near as good as everyone thinks he is. Everyone talks about leadership and intangibles but I don't think that's going to cut it in the NFL. Plus, I just don't like how he plays. His style. And that jump pass is ugly as hell.

I don't care what god he prays to. He's sketchy right from the start for not fucking that hot piece of ass with the big tits that was "supposedly" his girlfriend. I ask you, if there is a god don't you think he'd be down with you bangin' some sexy ass bitch? And if you didn't don't you think he might feel you are a self righteous asshole? I'm just sayin' is all.

Re: Tebow has come down from the mount
Tim Tebow talks to God
A Quiet Moment with Tebow - no cliches, just the truth
Posted 12/13/2011 10:59:00 AM
I got an email from Sweden. Some dude named Magnus wanted to tell me about the strong, but enthusiastic throng of Tebow fans developing in the world of Blondes and Foppa.
I did a radio interview in Huntsville, Alabama. They have A Store, A Light and A School as well as a deep interest in all things Tebow. Somehow, they took a breath from college football to talk about, well, maybe the greatest player from college football.
I flipped on the Today Show and Matt Lauer was leading a panel discussion with the likes of Star Jones and some dude who is an expert on Linsdey Lohan. They were talking Tebow. I think Star said she was excited to see Timmy win the World Series.
I went to a charity event hosted by Wesley Woodyard. When I sat down at a table with some friends, the first thing that was said to me was, “Hey, there’s Tebow.” He was standing about 10 feet away, taking pictures with kids.
Never mind ESPN. When are the NOT talking about Tebow? On Friday night, with an impending 5:45am wake up call for Pee Wee Hockey on the horizon, my family and I switched on ESPN2 and settled in for an hour long documentary on Tebow’s senior year….IN HIGH SCHOOL. He led Nease to a somewhat remarkable State Championship.
It’s inescapable and unexplainable.
But, what surprised me most in this Tebow circus, was a conversation I had with Timmy himself.
After the 6th comeback in 7 wins, this one against the shell-shocked Bears, I asked Tebow in the large press conference surrounded by dozens of desperate looking media types, “How does this story end?”
“Depends who’s writing it,” smartly retorted Tim looking like an NFL longshoreman with a drawn down wool cap and long black overcoat.
“You’re writing it, “ I snapped back
“Well…” started Tebow, slightly pausing and then rambling into a bit of a cliché about great teammates and working hard and, well, not really answering the question while not even getting close to being rude or smug.
However, the conversation didn’t end there.
Fellow FAN gum flapper, Mike Evans boldly/stupidly proclaimed that he would get a tattoo if Tebow were to win 8 games. Guess what Mike….bzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
Myself and pro athlete sycophant Brandon Krisztal, loitered in the Broncos locker room to film a quick and turns out funny piece with TT regarding the impending mutilation of Evans’ skin. After the video magic, when no machines were rolling, as I was walking away, Tebow called after me and said, “Hey, that was an interesting question.”
Honestly, it surprised me that it even registered with him at all. The velocity and volume of questions and comments that are thrown at this young man are staggering. I turned around and said, “yea, it’s a heck of a story.”
Tebow, pulling his day game suitcase behind him started walking with me and said that he certainly can’t tell what the future holds or proclaim any kind of “prophecy” but that there is something happening that however it turns out feels bigger than all of us.
I asked him if it reminded him more of high school as opposed to the talent laden Gators teams that he led. He laughed and agreed, stating that, yea, they never could beat their big rival, but somehow won it all in the end. Another season that seemed doomed to failure after early losses, but once they started believing, they started winning. It was a season where the team overcame the loss of Tebow for a period of time due to a leg fracture. It was unexplainable. But, now, it seems like it was the beginning of a trend.
The conversation was quick as Ryan McBean, one of Tebow’s teammates, who had apparently promised all little, medium and large McBeans that they would get to meet Timmy, was next in line in the now empty Broncos locker room.
I congratulated Tim, slid past a few McBeans and thought about what he had just said to me.
While absolutely NOT saying he was delivering a prophecy, Tebow did use the word. As Mike Klis told me when I related that story, most of us say “prediction.”
Tebow used the word prophecy.
Again, Tebow was not using it in some sort of egomaniacal way, like some blow-hard preacher, vainly preening for the camera. No, it was used in a humble, simple manner as a curious young man would do so in a reflective journey to the unknown. It was a comment away from the camera, when for a brief moment, Tebow sought out a conversation rather than face the standard barking of the press, the relentless pressing of flesh to his adoring fans and the fanatical screaming that follows him like an unending, unnerving drumbeat.
For a moment, Tebow was reflective about what the deeper meaning of this season means and what is his very significant role.
I think for a talented, yet sheltered young man, thoughts are rightfully circulating in his brain that may be saying, “I know I have “it”, but what if I AM “IT”?
Wesley Woodyard relayed a story that Tebow came up to him and Champ before the Jets game and said that Tebow had spoken with God. Tebow told them not to worry and they would be okay. Wood told me that in all of his years in football, nobody had ever approached him like that with that kind of message. Woodyard said that is was powerful and highly impactful.
What are we really seeing here with the Broncos and Tebow?
Broncos head coach John Fox wasn’t gonna play my reindeer games and say/agree that the Broncos are a team of destiny. He instead said that nicknames are organic. When the right thing comes along, it comes along. However, he did say, while each existed in its own unique way, this season and his Super Bowl year in Carolina were similar in as much when something needed to go right – it did
Even for me, its too much to ask Fox if he thinks Tebow is a Jesus like being brought down on this earth to win football games and inspire the masses. But, I’m certain others are contemplating that question.
I think one of those people, may be, Tebow himself.

And verily I say to you-- those who talk about The Tebow and know not what sport he playeth should have their heads held under water. Thus spaketh the Turdacious One, and it was good.

Lot of Tebow hate these days. All the Tebow haters cannot seem to explain how he keeps winning games. I don't care about his religion, I don't care who he is or isn't fucking. He keeps winning games. Like Al said "Just win baby!" I'm not a broncos fan at all but I wish Tebow was winning games for the Raiders.
Shut the fuck up and train

Re: Tebow has come down from the mount
I don't understand this. Is it because he's overtly religious instead of running dog fights or talking about capping niggaz? Every week people say Tebow is not an NFL quarterback, and every week he keeps winning. It's nice to see that unshakable faith in your and your teammates' abilities to win a ballgame. He's already built one hospital and is about to build another. There are a lot of things that irritate me right now, but a dude like that isn't one of them.Sandman wrote:Lot of Tebow hate these days. To be fair, Gin, he is a terribly inconsistent passer with an enormous wind up time. That is what every critic jumps on. However, he sure seems to loosen up and get much more accurate as the game progresses.
However, those same analysts have each probably said a thousand times that good December teams have a strong running game and good defense and special teams. That the Broncos have in spades. Tebow, McGahee, and Royal are running very well behind probably the best O-line in the AFC. Von Miller and Dumervil are freaking beasts and the secondary is geriatrically holding their own. If it was any other quarterback, analysts would nod their heads on why we're now 8-5 after starting 1-4.
And, yes, the religion thing is out of control. Most evangelicals love him, no matter how many home runs he dunks. And most secular folks hate him and can't wait for him to fail.

The Broncos will probably dump him, because if the don't, they will have to get a back-up with similar skills.

In reality, that would be easier to do than get a traditional QB. However, I still do agree with you (for now) because Elway doesn't look to have bought into putting his rep on Tebow long-term.Dan Martin wrote:The Broncos will probably dump him, because if the don't, they will have to get a back-up with similar skills.

I'm confused. Did he used to date Lucy Pinder or didn't he?
Actually, I just wanted an excuse to post more pics.

Re: Tebow has come down from the mount
His ability to run, and the running game as a whole makes this an illusion. He doesn't get more accurate, the receivers start getting more space. Better chance for completion, much lower chance for an interception. He has the brain to see his chance to throw and is getting the job done.BucketHead wrote:To be fair, Gin, he is a terribly inconsistent passer with an enormous wind up time. Can't crown him yet, but more than a few guys have done all right despite not having the ability to play QB. Brady and Montana come to mind. Too slow and unathletic, underpowered arms, accuracy is their only strong point, etc.

Re: Tebow has come down from the mount
Tom Brady, after living a full life, died. When he got to heaven, God was showing him around. They came to a modest little house with a faded Patriots flag in the window. "This house is yours for eternity Tom, said God. "This is very special; not everyone gets a house up here." Tom felt special, indeed, and walked up to his house.
On his way up the porch, he noticed another house just around the ...corner. It was a huge 3-story mansion with Orange and Blue sidewalks and drive ways, a 50 foot tall flagpole with an enormous Broncos logo flag waving, a swimming pool in shape of a horse, a Broncos logo in every window, and a Tim Tebow jersey on the front door.
Tom looked at God and said "God, I'm not trying to be ungrateful, but I have a question. I was an all-pro QB, I won 3 Super Bowls, and I even went to the Hall of Fame."
God said "So what's your point Tom?"
"Well, why does Tim Tebow get a better house than me?"
God chuckled, and said " that's not Tim's house, it's mine."
