The threat of serious physical injury/death is a bit of a game changer. With that said, your point is valid but a completely different topic.
In the Darthtocracy both would be executed for their crimes.
The Urban Nomad would get it quick from a bullet out of the side door as he goes for his food tray for the 35th - 50th time.

Agreed that this dude Paul Allen is a piece of shit but this is not the same type of "fraud" that OWS is whining about. This dude actually set up a company to sell loans that were owned by other people. I'm assuming he sold them to banks as part of numerous pools which later became ABS.

This is different than the useless hippies complaining about "evil" derivatives and greedy bankers, etc.

They had just enough tonight. Great game, and I hope it will be a great series. Cool to see Carpenter setting the tone, and Berkman out of that Yankee uniform.

Yep, great game. Berkman's had a good year and everyone raves about what a great teammate he is.

The fact that thismovement is so clumsy is the testimony to its sincerety. I would be suspicious if it was represented by well spoken and well dressed sleeks. Never mind if it falls apart in winter, these guys are attracting the attention to the blatant greed and crookery of the financial sector of the economy, large part of which is a casino camouflaged as sophisticated financial institution.

Anyone who did not know about the greed on Wall Street has been watching to many sitcoms and not enough news all their lives. Their not slick because most of them are fucking dumbasses. But there are Sorros minions, SEIU and AFL-CIO folks down there too.

But Socialism and Communism is not the answer. Letting capitalism do it's thing and letting the fuckers go broke instead of bailing them out and putting them in jail when they brake the law is.

A bunch of annoying clueless little fucks who were not politically aware untill some draft dodging nerd fuck prof. got his hands on them. Some real dangerous types and people that would have been following the Dead 20 years ago all doing some urban camping. They have every right to protest but I hope they get stupid so we can watch them get teargased, firehosed and riot clubbed. Then we'll see what their level of commitment is. And let's face it, riot footage is better than football.

Tea Party demonstrates and then goes home to families and their jobs.

There is a great (read: laughable) article on MSN this morning about rich kids that support the OWS douchebags and are calling for higher taxes on themselves. Interesting part is all three that they interviewed are the beneficiaries of large inheritances and did not actually lift a finger to get their dough. I wonder how their tune would change if the money came from, you know, working.

With nuggets like the one below, it’s apparent that money can’t buy one the ability to reason logically.
"I went down originally to see if the people at 'Occupy' were also talking about a constitutional amendment or (revocation of) corporate personhood as … a possible demand. But the more I went down, the more I realized that they’re really on target to not have any specific demand. I think this will lead to … policy changes."
So, not demanding any specific change will ultimately lead to the nebulous "policy change" that they demand. Brilliant.

Arms are the only true badge of liberty. The possession of arms is the distinction of the free man from the slave.

I prefer dangerous freedom over peaceful slavery.

It's pretty hard to make the case that this movement is representative of such a narrow demographic when there are similar protests in 200 cities around the world. Keep trying though, you may make a useful puppet yet.

Umm, you're not really surprised that the WALL STREET JOURNAL doesn't like the Occupy Wall Street movement are you? *sigh*

Of course they go home, Nappy. But that will not be the end of it. Like DMW points out, this is all part of a larger phenomenon. Even the True Finns popularity here in Finland is part of it. IMO, teh internets has changed the world more than we even start to realize. The world will continue to improve and this is just a natural progression. Maybe one day the Shellfish will be completely gone.
