I did the Bug Sur 1/2 in Monterey, CA a few weeks ago and the course took us right by a box that looked like it had a Reebok clothing store attached. Definitely had that big Reebok symbol next to it.What a duck says wrote:Instead of starting their affiliate takeover in the US right off, R@@bok branched out to NZ first.
Not Bingo, it was CCT Joey.Shafpocalypse Now wrote:So...what ever happened between Bingo and Ms Couch, who stole his business?
Did Saran ever weigh in on this, commenting on how it was perfectly legal and ethical to do so?
Mrs. Couch sold her Porsche, and they were doing Body Pump classes in her 15,000 sq ft. gym. Joey and his wife weathered the storm, got their legs back, and re-opened their gym. All the trainers and clients who bolted for Mrs. Couch are now back. In business, the best revenge is winning. What a duck says wrote:Not Bingo, it was CCT Joey.Shafpocalypse Now wrote:So...what ever happened between Bingo and Ms Couch, who stole his business?

Unfortunately, Joey and Andrea were relieved of their positions (fired) on August 2nd, within one month of opening the new facility. Coldly, they were notified the night before Andrea was to give birth to their second son, by a FaceBook message, that they were “not needed” any further at the new facility. Devistated by the news, the situation only grew worse as they were denied payment of promised back salary and severance pay. To further muck-up the situation, the new facility did not tell Joey and Andrea’s clients they were fired and why, and retained Crossfit Prescott client data for its own purposes. Instead, it continued along as business as usual, misleading CrossFit Prescott’s clients by claiming that Joey and Andrea “left” and propositioning CrossFit Prescott’s business trades. Andrea and Joey lost their business’s momentum and thousands upon thousands of dollars to the treacherous actions leveled at them.
Desperate, Andrea and Joey began to formulate a plan how to get Crossfit Prescott’s facility off it’s back and on it’s feet. Trainers and clients who knew what had happened, came out of the woodwork to support. Classes were taught in a nearby park as the facility was refurbished. Ackwardly, trainers and their families would train with Joey in the park, but would work at the new facility.
Hope abounded, in the group of trainers, that the new facility would reconsider its actions and do right by Joey and Andrea. Joey extended an olive branch in an email on August 15th, only to quickly have the hope of an honorable settlement scorched in a response email to one of the trainer in the middle that was trying to negotiate both sides in good faith. Outfitting the new facility with more new toys was more important than the family it had stripped of its livelyhood and income.
Sadly, the treachery would continue, this time for Crossfit Prescott’s former trainers still at the new facility. They were caught in a trap of believing in Joey and Andrea rebuilding CrossFit Prescott from the ashes or staying onboard the leviathan with safe work and pay. For sure, this was not easy place to be. After all, how could Joey and Andrea get CrossFit Prescott up and running after all of this? How could the small community of Prescott, AZ support two similar facilities?
The new facility interviened and on August 30th, just 3 days after the grand opening, with no notice, and simply because they were friends with Joey and Andrea, the bulk of the former Crossfit Prescott trainers were discarded by an impersonal email. Instantly the new facility knew it had made a mistake as half of the few remaining Crossfit Prescott clients bolted (and several clients who did not initially belong to CrossFit Prescott) as the truth circulated. The new facility had finally gone a bridge to far, by heartlessly tossing out all of those who volunteered those six months, countless hours of effort, and time away from their families to get the new facility up and running. Good faith, again, was erased by treachery.
With open arms, the trainers were asked to come home to CrossFit Prescott and help Joey and Andrea with physically and emotionally putting the whole affair behind them. With all hands on deck, Crossfit Prescott reopened on September 5th, largely whole, and with the facility updated.
Happily, within two months, almost all the trainers and clients were back. When the final count was settled, at a 9-1 ratio the clients who trained at Crossfit Prescott came back home. It appears that when people tried both concepts, they over-whelmingly chose CrossFit Prescott and its quality training, superb trainers, and humble atmosphere.
What gives you the impression it is full of training facilities, or that because there are two competing @Fs that there are any athletes there at all?Shafpocalypse Now wrote:Heh. Look at that. What comes around goes around. Why the fuck is Prescott, AZ, full of training facilities? Is it because athletes winter there?
If you mean @F facilities, the big centers are the (entire) Phoenix and Tucson areas, any city outside of those has two at most.Shafpocalypse Now wrote:I guess I'm seeing there's a lot of facilities, in general, in Arizona.
