I think I may have gotten a piece of grape into my lung. Felt like it was going down the wrong pipe, coughed like a mofo, but it felt like it went down not up. For whatever reason, right afterwards my biceps hurt.

That was almost 12 hours ago. I feel fine now but, psychoanalytically or otherwise, it still feels like something is "bothering" in my lower throat/chest. Just a nagging sensation, nothing acute.

Should I go to the emergency room after work for an x-ray, let it ride for a while, or what?

None of those things will make your lungs vomit. The only thing to do is have a surgeon remove your lungs.

NOT MEDICAL ADVICE>>>>> if there is still discomfort this afternoon then get it checked out. By discomfort, I mean any sudden urges to cough, pain, tightness, feeling like you cannot catch your breath, etc.

I take it the offending piece of grape did not show itself again? Any increased mucus production or anything this morning?

So that was noon, Thursday (eastern time, anyway). Feeling short of breath just sitting around without exertion or with minimal activity - go to ER. Otherwise, primary care physician within the week. Or, if symptoms resolve, ignore.

Thud, the only thing that keeps my lungs strong enough to defend against a grape trying to get in there is smoking non filter cigarettes. That grape never would have lasted one second in there.
