What about me? Can I see it on my black and white?
Obama's narcissism and arrogance is only superseded by his naivete and stupidity.
Re: Official Boardwalk Empire Thread
Missed the first episode and only caught the last 10 minutes of the second, where Nucky's first woman was in a Doctor's office, the gas pump fiasco ("Evvvverybody gotta gun!"), and Nucky with the new chick, who has the most awesome smile. Looks good.
Don’t believe everything you think.
Re: Official Boardwalk Empire Thread
Nice input, all of you.
I thought the dialogue between the Fed and Nucky was incredible. I dare say I thought it was on the level of some of the better exchanges in Game of Thrones.
Any predictions on what happens with the IRA fella and Eli? A formidable (possibly dangerous?) pairing indeed.

Andy I would like for you to watch this show but it's on HBO. I'd like to hear what you have to say about it and use you as a baseline for historical accuracy.Andy79 wrote:What about me? Can I see it on my black and white?
We're probably due for some killin' next episode.

Andy,
I'm with Shape. We need your presence in the club so you can tell us how much of it is bullshit.
Agreed we're due for some serious killin'.
I was kind of surprised the Italian didn't turn the gas hose on some folks and throw a lit match at them. Maybe next time.

IRA and Eli could be Nucky's undoing.
The Irishman clearly has feelings for Margaret and Eli is pissed as fuck at his brother.
Mix that with the young bucks in NYC and Chicago getting hungrier for power and Nucky's got a dangerous climate on his hands.

Re: Official Boardwalk Empire Thread
It'll be interesting to see how he deals with the sharks circling like they are.
What was the deal with Nucky and the chick at the end? When the phone was ringing and she was all nervous, then the Irishman said he couldn't get through? He'd been calling that little snapper? He fucking every chick Nucky plows?
Did I miss something?

Re: Official Boardwalk Empire Thread
Baff (ha! my phone always wants to spell you as Barf) I think that was sheer coincidence. I think the IRA man knew he was there and called Nucky for instruction. Meanwhile when Nucky saw that razor in the medicine cabinet along with her quietly talking on the phone he knows he's not the only man in her life. I think Nucky is in desperate need of loyalty and who knows where he's going to get it.
After that episode the killing of Jimmy makes more sense. He probably believed that Eli suggested he be murdered but he had to make a choice between the two and he needed someone close to him to take the election fraud rap. Sadly Jimmy was one of the few people he could trust.

Thinking back to last season, I guess you could see Nucky's being upset with Jimmy really as being hurt by the whole thing.
And one other point we didn't get out there yet...
Chalky. Chalky's daughter. Little girl knows how much of a gangster her dad is now.

What the fuck is it with the brothers and that straight razor shit? Is that some jailhouse lawyer bullshit? That's not a knife officer, that's part of my shaving kit.
Yeah Chalky's family is gonna realize things pretty quickly.

Chalky is the best, man.
I just googled his name, Michael K. Williams, he was bad as a muffukka on The Wire as Omar, too.
I recently had surgery to fix (I hope) an old ankle injury. Being relatively immobile has allowed me to rewatch some old shows, and the wire rivals Boarwalk in its awesomeness.
Not sure where Chalkys story is going, but the inclusion of his daughter and her queer ass beau is a good twist. I got the impression there might be a chance she gets with Chalkys new lieutenant, the guy from jail last season.

Hey not quite on topic but what's the general opinion on that new rogue submarine show called "Last Resort" that starts Thursday on ABC? I think I might give it a try. Co-created by Shawn Ryan who worked on The Shield, The Unit, and Terriers.
Also, I'm thinking about adding a little glitter to my face lotion, you know, kinda spice it up a bit when I go out. Christ it's hard for an older girl out there.

Don't add glitter to face lotion, just buy it already in there.
They make it that way now.

Re: Official Boardwalk Empire Thread
Shape,
I'm fully into Last Resort. Two thumbs in. Any show associated with Shawn Ryan and I'm committed. It could be about teletubbies butt fucking unicorns and I'd commit an hour each week until it was too much to do anymore.
On the glitter lotion front, BCP makes a good point. I also knew a girl in college that would glitter stamp dudes. Right when she was about to finish, she'd grab a bunch of glitter she kept in her dresser and you'd get a shit load of glitter in the short 'n curlies. Good luck washing that shit out.
Now, whenever I hear people talk about glitter, I think about glitter stamps.

Man our new Italian guy is one sketchy, psychopathic motherfucker. Highly entertaining too. I'm a little bummed out that Nucky is strung out on some young pussy. How many people did the sniper say he killed...53 or 63?
