Stop being paranoid!
There is a perfectly good reason for DHS to order 2,700 lightly armored and IED resistant vehicles!

Chill out, have a Dos Equis, watch some basketball, go do some Mall shopping on the CC, and maybe pick up a celebrity mag; you let the Government do your thinking. This is just a simple way to reuse surplus military equipment.
Whatever you do, don't question the domestic military build up under your noses. All them armored vehicles, drones, and huge piles of ammo will never be used on you. So long as you tow the party line and get with the program.
Remember, unalienable rights bad, Government good.

Hey, they got to do something with all them Army surplus armored vehicles! I look forward to the DHS sporting F18s when the Airforce switches over to the F22.
Chill out you worry warts! What's the worse that could happen?

To use to shoot fascist troops, steal an armored vehicle, and use it on the government? Yes, I'm very happy I have an AR15. However I'm sorry, no clips, but magazines. And by the way, not some, a lot of magazines.

Exactly. Everything that is happening is completely legal and our constitutional rights are being safeguarded.Herv100 wrote:Hey Batboy, don't you know this is just kooky conspiracy stuff?
You see Congress authorized Bush to prosecute the war on Al Qaeda. Al Qaeda could come here. Therefore all of this extra constitutional stuff is just part of POTUS exercising his responsibilities as CIC. It makes perfect sense so there is nothing to fear here.
If it was anything to be worried about, the press would be all over it. Proto knows all about our constitutional safeguards and can explain them to you if will only listen.
Stop your crazy think.

Obviously these purchases are bullshit, yada yada yada.
But I enjoy, objectively, the "has Obama stopped beating his wife" approach here. Note that the MRAP video is from one in cartel country. If Obama (note, it's OBAMA'S DHS!!!!!) cancelled them or anything else involving the border, right wingnuts would be up in arm about how he's in league with the Messicans.

I haven't the heart to explain to Batboy that our government has long had secretive strategic plans for taking direct action against American citizens, including plans for surveillance and detention. We just know more about it now, thanks to technology.
Meanwhile, a few loons here and there mumble about the gun show loophole and concealed carry restrictions.
Frankly, I'm glad Obama is purchasing the necessary equipment to put you nuts down if you start going crazy. It's paranoid crackpots like you that cause most of the problems.

Obama creates jobs for American workers and a boost to US industry while helping out an American company that produces school buses and you people are up in arms.
