I play that clip at least one a quarter.....

If you like dags...or cats, suggest a great book called Animals in Translation. Did a short I review in that forum.

Dags are great. My girlfriend adopted an 8-year old weimaraner a couple of weeks ago - he might have been a puppy mill stud, based on the info the shelter had. Zero interest in balls or toys, extemely food anxious, didn't respond to human affection for the first week. Great otherwise - and now he's latched on to us hard.

Only problem is that he wants to sleep on the bed between us. I don't do dags on the bed in the first place and can't sleep at all with 75 pounds of fur, heat and dag-stank against me. I've tried to get her to keep him on the floor (she'd prefer dog on bed) but even then he'll wait til 2am, jump on the bed, flop on me and then I'm up for a couple of hours and just go to my couch. Locking him out of the bedroom makes me nervous - I've got expensive electronics and camera equipment and other shit that I can't chance being ruined by a grumpy dog or urine. I don't think it would happen but I'm not rolling the dice.

Went to price crates this afternoon -need to budget an extra $150 for a good -sized crate and mat and then convince a senior dog that it's good for him. Should be fun.

Our dogs have loved their crates. It's like a cool little dog fort.

Well, I like the one my wife brought home from the Humane Society last Friday. \:D/

I got a phone call on my cell at work from her saying "I want this one (6 month old Border Collie mix, not completely house-broken), you want to meet him first?" And sterling guy that I am, I told her, "If that's the one you want, just get him, but YOU get to house break him." Done.

Although I'll never be the dog enthusiast the way my wife is, he's fun to have around and take for walks, etc. I'm reasonably fond of the little shit, and will probably become quite attached to him as time passes.

You're not going to have a choice.

My dog drove me nuts when I first "met" him. He was my aunts dog and I got him when he was a little past one. It was when he stayed with us for a two or three week stint that I got attached to him.

He's been right there with me all the time except for when I was away at school. Wouldn't trade him for anything.

Being a cat, I talk a lot of shit about dogs, but I love all animals. Boiled, fried, baked, it doesn't really matter.

You ever eaten dog? I won't do it, but I've heard good things. Being 1/8 Japanese, I clearly hate Koreans with an unhealthy passion, and thus, won't eat their fucked up food.

Dogs are a Hawaiian delicacy, but mostly for women.

My dad never ate it. My uncle is half Filipino, so he's prone to savagery and I'm sure he's probably dabbled.

I can safely say of all the family still back in Hawaii, there are only two or three relatives I would suspect of such disgusting habits.

I lived in Long Beach, California from July 1980-January 1982. I cannot remember exactly when,
but there was a big stink about some "Asians" eating peoples pet cats some time during that period.

It was duly reported in the Los Angeles Times.

Weimaraners are awesome. I grew up with one and they always want to sleep on the bed with you. They like to be with you all the time.

I love the sporting breeds.

I get my new GSP puppy tomorrow. Can't wait.

One of the downsides of the Internet is that it allows like-minded people to form communities, and sometimes those communities are stupid.
