Well the good news is today's WOD is a rest day. Bad news for chiropractors and orthopedists.

Stunt? The socks suggest he was actually looking for a slippery landing, and he gets his hands down in a pretty efficient way.lasalle wrote:

One of the downsides of the Internet is that it allows like-minded people to form communities, and sometimes those communities are stupid.

I was thinking the same thing. A pratfall benchmark WOD called "Chevy Chase."Grandpa's Spells wrote:Stunt? The socks suggest he was actually looking for a slippery landing, and he gets his hands down in a pretty efficient way.lasalle wrote:

What's your Chevy Chase time?
I still LOL'd and said "What a dumbass" when I saw it though.

Re: The couch thread
Tony Budding
As many of you already know, I resigned from my position with CrossFit Inc (HQ) a couple weeks ago. I am very proud to have been part of the amazing growth of the company for nearly a decade.
From the early days when everyone thought I was crazy for going all in on this tiny Santa Cruz company that no one really knew anything about, and all the "experts" were dismissing as crazy BS, when we did four or five seminars a year that were 3-day brain dumps from Coach Glassman (and that was just scratching the surface of his knowledge!) to the middle days when we started posting a video a day on the main site and the Games were born to this year with over 20 seminars a weekend, worldwide acknowledgement of CrossFit's efficacy, and the incredible growth of the Games with the fittest athletes in history becoming legitimate celebrities. It was an amazing journey for me, and it's just beginning for CrossFit.
I'm going to start my own production company. It's time for me go my own way and see what's possible in a new environment. I see so much value in mainstream content related to the functional fitness world. I'm not sure exactly what that means, but I have a few projects in mind to start with. I'm working around the clock to bring them to life (I don't know any other way!). As soon as there's something concrete to talk about, I'll let you all know.
Stay tuned!
Did I miss something?

That piece is full of a fuck ton of lulz.
Where do you even start? Budding is a weasel and a cunt. If couch had got caught banging a 13 year old, Budding would put the spin on it and say it was her fault. That's the kind of douchbag and disgusting human being he is.

Six months to failure and it seems he hasn't learned his lesson about how to conduct business. I could have all of that shit sold within a week. The dumbass will sit on his ass wondering why no one wants to buy his big pile of stuff in one large transaction.
I recently moved and had to close my CrossFit box after 6 months I have very high end equipment and lots of it, mostly Pendlay equipment.
I have roughly $10,000 in bumpers alone.
The rowers have less than 50,000 meters of use.
I will not piece any of the equipment so please don't ask.
I want to sell as a package

The box euphemism kills me. I bought a gym within a mile of Planet Fitness, I charge $120 a month, they charge $10. Simple economics, plus paying royalties to Couch. Imbecile.

All I ever find ads for around here are treadmills, Sears cement weights and absurd multi-station home gyms where the owner is asking near-retail (BECAUSE IT WAS NEVER USED!).

My son just got home for the holidays and I asked, "Are you going back to @fit Generic while you're home?". He said, "No, I'm just going to train in the garage." I asked, "Have you lost interest in @fit ?" He replied, "Not totally but @fit is full of douchebags, I just want to get strong."
You do your best and hope they turn out OK but some things they have to learn on their own. My Yuletide just got brighter.

Re: The couch thread
Ginny and I were talking with Shaf this weekend and one of the things that came up is that a lot of the local @fitters in Ginny's neck of the woods are taking time off from their @fit gyms to get stronger. I'm pretty sure that if you have to take time off from your gym to get stronger you are doing something wrong.
