This is considered the greatest song in the Beefiverse:

I never knew Prine cowrote that. Very cool. My favorite Prine tune is usually the last one I listened to.beefheart wrote:

That Raitt/Prine duet of Angel From Montgomery is just a tad better than fucking awesome.

Beefy how's your gitar progress coming?
Re: Happy 68th, John Prine
Slow but well, there is so much to learn. I am firing sysnapses, I never knew I had, my stress level seems much lower than it has any right to be, even my cholesterol numbers are good. So if nothing else, I can sy this is the best hobby I've ever pursued.
I have my acoustic, my electric, a tiny solid state amp and my sweet little 2000's re-issue of Fender Champ 600 tube amp.
I have two projects in the basement:
1.) a nine volt amp in an oak 30-40's intercom cabinet
2.) a beater parlor size guitar that I'll either set up for slide or cut up to make...
Other projects planned:
1.) ....a cigar box guitar.
2.) a didly bo
Things I want to buy:
1.) an acoustic-electric
2.) a pedal, most likely a Tube Screamer
Right now I seem to be playing w/ a lot of CCR and basic blues. I'm just now getting the right hand moving.

Sounds like you picked right hobby. I love JFogerty's guitar work even now he's around seventy.
