Bush Lied, People Died?

Post by Turdacious »

From 2004 to 2011, American and American-trained Iraqi troops repeatedly encountered, and on at least six occasions were wounded by, chemical weapons remaining from years earlier in Saddam Hussein’s rule.

In all, American troops secretly reported finding roughly 5,000 chemical warheads, shells or aviation bombs, according to interviews with dozens of participants, Iraqi and American officials, and heavily redacted intelligence documents obtained under the Freedom of Information Act.

The United States had gone to war declaring it must destroy an active weapons of mass destruction program. Instead, American troops gradually found and ultimately suffered from the remnants of long-abandoned programs, built in close collaboration with the West.

The New York Times found 17 American service members and seven Iraqi police officers who were exposed to nerve or mustard agents after 2003. American officials said that the actual tally of exposed troops was slightly higher, but that the government’s official count was classified.

Of course, they don't mention the speech where W said we must destroy an active WMD program.

Liberal propaganda. Saddam was a good guy before he turned heel and was a bad guy. It's like these reporters never watched pro wrestling when they were kids.
In five of six incidents in which troops were wounded by chemical agents, the munitions appeared to have been designed in the United States, manufactured in Europe and filled in chemical agent production lines built in Iraq by Western companies.

And how many times did the heart bleeders, pussies and faggots here laugh off when I relayed what guys I know who were there told me about this shit? Water with high strychnine levels and other nasty shit so they could not drink it, empty barrels in the sand, the lines of trucks going from Iraq (Bathest regime) to Syria (Bathest regime and the like?

When a Jawas dictator you made a cease fire agreement predicated on free and unfettered inspection of his country stops letting you in? He either is making /acquiring something he is not supposed to have or is just an obstinate SOB. Either way, you pull his lease and hang his ass.

Obama sold us a narrative that the war on terror was over in Iraq and pulled our forces out, and way more people are dying and are going to die over it than what Bush ordered.

Bush's problem is he was either too humane, cared to much what Liberals think or there was money to be made by Dick and his buddies in dragging shit out. He did too little but it was more than this little Muslim weened Commie Symp has done.

One of the downsides of the Internet is that it allows like-minded people to form communities, and sometimes those communities are stupid.

Taking out their trash was not reason enough to invade.

I'm waiting to watch Balad Air Base fall to the ISIS. Spent a fair bit of time there. Weird.

After 911 lots of folks who needed their ass kicked got it. Refusing UN inspectors, shooting at Northern and Southern watch US aircraft, jerking the kurds around(just like Turkey btw), and Iraq claiming a WMD program was a good way of getting on the list.

Could have been done a lot better but right thing to do. Please explain to me again why we went back to AG?

ISIS militants very recently came into control of the Al-Muthanna site, a development which would never have come about were it not for the chaos wrought by the Iraq War. Strangely enough, this event was not similarly seized upon by war advocates as a glorious vindication of Bush’s WMD claims.
LOL. Don't worry, the rest of the article is equally terrible. Also note that he doesn't mention Bush's actual WMD claims once.
