Lynda.com Training Videos
Has anyone ever used this resource? I am thinking about using the free trial to go through the Revit training videos, but when I click on free trial it asks for my payment information for the $25/month after the free trial. How is this a free trial? Would I be able to cancel as soon as the free trial is up? Granted, it would be worth it to me to pay for one month, but I just am trying to understand the free trail deal.
Re: Lynda.com Training Videos
It should charge you after the 30 days are up.
Pretty common practice in the name of "uninterrupted access/service".
Lynda.com's pretty cool. I went through some of their stuff some time ago before I started the gig I have now.

But can I cancel it after the free trial and not get charged? Or is it a "free trial" for $25? If I choose the monthly payment option can I cancel after just one month?
Re: Lynda.com Training Videos
Sorry, should charge you for month 2 after month 1. You pay ahead of time, IIRC.
A monthly option should allow you to cancel, the finish out whatever term you've paid for.

Gotcha. I believe I will go ahead and do that. Thanks, baffled!!!!
Re: Lynda.com Training Videos
No problem.
I think you just need to remember to cancel before the end of the month if you don't want to keep going.

Check out Khan Academy, EDX, and Coursera too.

Yes. They are legit, I used there service when I was working in IT. I was lucky, my account was paid for by my job. They have almost everything. I took all their Linux classes. Used to do it during downtime at the office while other assholes where playing Candy Crush.
