Overflowing with heartfelt conviviality
It seems people on other social media are mostly outraged all the time. That is when they're not shaming people or ranting about eating whatever is evil today or bemoaning whatever the fuck it is they want to bemoan.
Meanwhile, this site, which had its founding in argumentation and ad hominem attacks, has become, well, almost cordial. Sometimes even thoughtful.
Happily, we still have the foul-mouthed thing going for us, gosh dang it.

Well, OK, DARTH is always outraged about something. But from him, anything short of TOTAL WAR is a warm handshake and a pat on the back.

An utter waste of words, not unlike your last book.

We can only hope for another rafting trip with less capable people than the last trip. I'm feeling the need for another letter to Jesus.

I had to look up conviviality

This place hasn't gotten any better.
The rest of the world has simply gotten worse.

This is the only place I know where the interwebs works the way it's supposed to. Not sure what that says about the internet.

Re: Overflowing with heartfelt conviviality
I genuinely marvel at how the Internet has allowed disparate people who think exactly alike to find each other and form intellectual circle jerks to the exclusion of all other opinions. Not sure that was an anticipated outcome by Al Gore.
