Donald J. Trump ✔ @realDonaldTrump
122 vicious prisoners, released by the Obama Administration from Gitmo, have returned to the battlefield. Just another terrible decision!
BRILLIANT!As you see, 122 of those released have reengaged — 113 of them released under the Bush administration. Another 86 are suspected to have reengaged — 75 under Bush. And one of the nine for whom Obama should be culpable? Killed in Yemen. Another one was already killed, according to the DNI report, along with 29 of those released by Bush.
The Fox report clearly left the impression that the releases happened on Obama’s watch. But it’s trivial to verify the numbers before tweeting if you’re interested in doing so. During the half-hour between the segment and Trump’s tweet, he could easily have picked up the phone and called his intelligence staff for confirmation. But Trump’s relationship with Fox News may actually be far friendlier than is his relationship with America’s intelligence community.

Washington DC has more leaks than the Titanic. The end game might be the same too - the whole thing sinks to the bottom of the ocean. Repubs think this way - Dems think that way - we few independents think we're screwed either way.
Trumpcare - Obamacare - either way insurance companies will be the winners and the people the losers - just depends which group you fall in. The repubs have a chance to actually do this right but this "gotta do it today" thing is gonna bite everyone on the butt - including them. Just slow down and get it right this time.

only if you ignore trumps's statement that obama, accting like a nazi, went after him and you think investigating manafort is sensible, given manafort's ties to russia. so not surprisingly there's some incidental contact with trump. and many others, no doubt.powerlifter54 wrote:So not a Great 24 hours for the Obama snooping and Muslim open immigration apologists.
and of course you're ignoring the fact that the british terrorist was born in britain 52 years ago.
so spin it your way pl 54. its your belief, not your reason talking.

I thought Nunes was supposed to be investigating? As a part of the legislative that balances the executive? Yet he goes running to Trump (guy being investigated) first????

Re: Trumpling the Truth
Weak nonsense. The identities and comms of US citizens were unmasked and disclosed. That info has been in the NYT and WaPo since November. Mr Obama's people broke the law. Some will go to jail. Good.
And whether the Muslim who killed the policeman was born in London or Islamabad, or for that matter the two 17 and 18 year old rapists and recent border crossers were dreamers or freshman, they all are known Wolves.
Trump keeps being proven right. You keep losing. Good.

Re: Trumpling the Truth
What are you talking about? Did you even listen to what Nunes revealed??? He said that during legal wiretapping, which by definition is either wiretapping of foreign nationals or suspected criminals (via warrant), some members of the Trump campaign team were recorded "incidentally". So eg the FBI is wiretapping "Boris", and Manafort or Bannon or someone gets on the phone with "Boris", so the FBI capture the conversation. And Nunes/Trump are bragging about that?!? How does that make the slightest bit of sense? He's basically bragging about stumbling into a criminal investigation -- bragging about having ties with suspected criminals or whatever. It's absurd.powerlifter54 wrote:Mr Obama's people broke the law. Some will go to jail.
And, what part of that represents the Obama administration breaking the law?

You need to stop playing dumb. You cannot reveal or unmask an American Citizen's conversation, even if there is a FISA warrant. It is classified materiel. And even Comey knows it is a big deal to leak it. And the leaks are out there in print and lots of fingerprints all over them.
But you know all that. Wanna bet on who ends up under indictment?

Or he's a wacko.
I'll just wait for evidence, rather than statements about what evidence I'm going to see.
It's either there or it's not.
Here's the more interesting question: is anything more important to Democrats and their supporters than politics? Is there any evidence persuasive enough to make them stop or even question their 24/7 full frontal assault on Trump?
I think the answer is no. You could find a photograph of Obama sticking a tracking device under the wheel well of Trump's limo and the Democrats would say, "Well, yeah, of course, you need to do that. It's fine."

One of the downsides of the Internet is that it allows like-minded people to form communities, and sometimes those communities are stupid.

So, you're telling me that Nunes committed a crime? I don't think that's the point you're trying to make.powerlifter54 wrote:You cannot reveal or unmask an American Citizen's conversation, even if there is a FISA warrant. It is classified materiel.
I'm shocked, SHOCKED, to find that leaking is going on in Washington DC!powerlifter54 wrote:And even Comey knows it is a big deal to leak it. And the leaks are out there in print and lots of fingerprints all over them.
Well, it's a sucker bet considering who controls the Justice Dept. But I consider it FAR more likely that Trump & friends have committed actual crimes in the past 2 years or so (and serious ones), than Obama & friends.powerlifter54 wrote:Wanna bet on who ends up under indictment?
I mean, except for Hillary's controlling interest in Comet Ping Pong Pizza, of course.

What a great historical moment in politics.
The Repug congress has managed to alienate just about everybody (including Trumpius Maximus!) with their plan to replace Barry care while accomplishing nothing at all....after having 7 full years to prepare for this moment.
I'm not a history expert but this has to be a US gov't record for feckless failure.

Re: Trumpling the Truth
Trump is blaming it on the democrats, and says he will wait until it collapses and then the democrats will come over to make deal. Basically a plan to hold the electorate hostage? Not sure that is what the voters want. Hope he doesn't take that approach with Afghanistan.DrDonkeyLove wrote:What a great historical moment in politics.

I blame gerrymandering, among other things. Brilliant idea but with blowback. There are so many districts where there is zero need to worry about the whole electorate, that you can go full far right. Lack of need to look beyond own narrow interests...

Wait until you see what's coming next. The WH is promising to cut drug prices while asking drug manufacturers to voluntarily foot the bill for most of the FDA budget.
