Nice, reasonable-budget horror flick. My wife and I got about halfway through and I said "Oh my god. This doesn't suck."
Remember the roughly 2000 "werewolf/vampire clans at war" movies that came out that all look like CGI-heavy music videos?
This isn't one of those. No CGI, just prosthetics courtesy of Stan Winston Studios. Decent writing; even the villains are somewhat sympathetic, since they're fighting for their own survival when they aren't eating people.
It's not going to get an Oscar for anything, but it's head and shoulders above the usual tongue-in-cheek or effects-heavy horror crap that comes out these days.
