I'm pretty sure that was the last podcast of Sam Harris's I tried listening to, I might still check out a book or two of his but the podcasts are a waste for me.buckethead wrote:
Absolutely do not listen to him on Sam Harris' podcast as they couldn't get past the first item.

Do you think you have a soul?
Do you think/know/suspect you have a soul? Why? I don't think so based on lack of any evidence. I am certainly open to evidence but likely couldn't view it without think it was bat shit crazy. That being said I used to believe a soul was a real thing because so many other people believed so how coul...

Godless by Dan Barker. The first section is an autobiography of him becoming an preacher and then transitioning to an aethiest. That is absolutely fascinating. The rest has to do with debates and why God doesn't exist/why the bible sucks and is almost mind numbing. Rather than pick the low hanging f...

Re: Who actually likes turkey?
I grew up thinking turkey was a naturally dry meat and didn't like it. I don't know how my grandmother knew when a chicken was fully cooked but when she cooked turkey she relied in the plastic probe that popped at 180. I didn't realize until I cooked my own turkey it could be juicy and taste good.

I finally deleted my account in the past few days. Facebook is a major time waster for me filled with superficial communication at best.

I feel like I am about to meet a WWE wrestler outside of the ring. All I want to know is if he acts the same outside of the ring. Is he going to be yelling and jumping around or does he want to discuss Victorian era poetry? I have no idea but realize I stand a moderate chance of getting power bombed.

I was under the impression that Julian's motivation was to expose everything wrong with a single party and see where the votes land. Unfortunately he decided to do this during an election where each party hosted a candidate that could soundly be defeated by everyone except the opposing candidate.

I would like to find something but working overtime seems like the best use of my time. At one point I did a really shitty job of selling atlas stones and calculated the maximum potential profit at $17 an hour. When I got a job that paid more than that I was completely done with that venture.

Re: Vote for Johnson/Weld
I looked up poll results and 60% of registered Democrats and Republicans think they both suck. It bothers me that such a large number would go and vote for the lesser evil when they are likely better represented by a third party candidate. If this election was to chose a babysitter I feel like my ch...

I decided I wanted to open my own private gym to train athletes out of so I went to school and got a 4 year degree in exercise science. In hindsight I wonder why the hell I thought an exercise science degree would set me up for running my own business. Towards the end of school I started selling atl...

Re: Anyone have any experiances with making/selling apps
As well, and this is my recommendation, a responsive web app that is downloaded as a bookmark will look and feel EXACTLY like a native app on the iPhone and Android but a) only requires one development environment and b) avoids the Apple Store altogether. How much could I expect to have to pay on a...

Anyone have any experiances with making/selling apps
I have an excel spreadsheet that is an extensive training journal and have considered having it made into an app. The target audience is people that lift weights for the purpose of getting better at lifting weights. The problem is I am reading online where apps can cost thousands and thousands of do...

Re: Life After Facebook: What's Next for Us?
I was scrolling through Facebook and saw this picture of a child about 5 years old, sitting on a grave with some toys and it was captioned something like "He wanted to play with his brother one more time. Type Amen." I thought it was a very sweet picture and then stared wondering why I was...
