Enough smacktalk about how @FHQ is scared of non-@Fit propaganda and about the censorship is what most likely shut it down.Thud wrote:I didn't watch it, what was so incriminating?Yes I Have Balls wrote:A few pages back, we had a laugh about a Rippetoe interview with andro poster girl Eva T that was linked to, and then **********'ed out on the @fit mainpage. The bottom of the Crossfit main page has "Friends of Crossfit" and a link to the "Starting Strength" site is right there. I think the "censorship" issue is a non-issue. Must be a technical glitch.
Take a look under "Friends of Crossfit." I don't see it.Technical glitches don't materialize out of nowhere. The website used to be allowed (I just did a search to prove to myself that this was true). I'm guessing the link to the aforementioned website is still on the "Friends of Crossfit" due to an oversight, and that after you mentioned it it will be removed post-haste.

Re: The couch thread
Gawddamn! Thems some nice glass cutters.
And as much as I hate to say it. I've been running in knee high Seal Skinz socks this winter and I love them.
I've been out in as cold as 19 degree F weather and waded ankle deep water, ankle deep mud, and knee high snow drifts and the only thing that go cold was my knee caps. And I usually suffer from freezing ass cold toes in the fucking summer. And as much as I hate to say it I'm digging the added warmth and support for my lower leg so I'll be picking me up some compression socks for warmer weather runnind post run recovery.
*Hangs head in shame*

1.) Running in the cold or in anything that could scratch up your legs (e.g. Bushwhacking on a trail)
2.) Running long-ass distances well above a 10k
3.) Wearing them as a recovery aid
That's it. Anything else is begging for ridicule.
But I wouldn't spend the money on Skinz when you can do fine with a pair of knee-high diabetic socks and just cut the feet off of the them. A hell of a lot cheaper ($5 at Wal-Mart versus spending $30+ on Skinz) and just as effective.

They don't actually train outside. It's just for the photo op. Nice nips on the chick.kreator wrote:What is it with @Fitters posing in the snow shirtless or in a sports bra like it's some badge of honor? Every other @Fit picture I see is someone half naked in the snow.
Wow, you can shed a few layers for 10 minutes while you do some thrusters and SDHPs. Congratulations. You're really tough.
Dude with the prosthetic legs is sporting the new @F fight shorts. Nothing says fighter like a wispy cultfitter with fiberglass shins and neoprene gauntlets.

Re: The couch thread
Sounds like a fairly typical @fittermy dream along this line is fighting.
ive never been in a "fight" and that may have something to do with it, but about once a month ill have a dream where i get into a fight and i am totally incapable of landing a punch or when i do i cant hit hard.

I only run outside, I'm working my way up to the 10K+ stuff, and I really dig the recovery aspect. And like I said it's not so much the legs that get cold as my fucking toes and these are the first socks that I've ever wore that actually helped me in that aspect. I'll have to check out the diabetic socks at Walmart for when it gets warmer.
Thanks meat.

Yes. Lynne runs the message boards as well as the affiliate site.

Yes. Renee spends most of her time, ironically enough, on the nutrition posts. She has no official role, though longs with disturbing intensity to be a moderator.
